★★★★★Wonderful stay at the Black Swan B&B. nicely refurbished house circa 1904. Only two large suites so no worry about crowds. Hosts were great people who gave close attention to needs and wishes. I could live on the large balcony.|Breakfast was hearty and nicely prepared. This place is worthy of another stay.||Thanks Darrel and Christi for a great stay.||Bill and Kathryn

NillThis was our first time to stay at The Black Swan and it was everything we were looking for. The room, the feel, and the hospitality were all wonderful. Cozy wine bar and parlor were very inviting. We are ready to book our next trip.

NillWe have stayed at the Black Swan several times and it has become one of our favorite weekend getaways. Darrell and Christi are amazing and make you feel like you’re part of the family. The food is beyond comparison and the rooms are always very clean and beautiful. We have stayed at a few other bed and breakfast in the area when the Black Swan was booked and I promise the attention, care, and room conditions were not the same. We will only stay at the Black Swan.

★★★★★The hosts were fantastic. The suite was beautiful. The atmosphere and cleanliness were great. This was an anniversary trip, and the place made the time even more special. Our daughter also had a wonderful time here on a trip of her own, and we went on her recommendation. Highly recommend!

NillOUTSTANDING!!! We fell in love with this gorgeous home that we spent the weekend at! The proprietors went ABOVE AND BEYOND extending hospitality like we've never experienced before! The breakfast was fantastic, and don't even get me started on the delectable bisquits!! YUM! The rooms are just exquisite with an old fashioned tub for bubble baths! We would definitely stay here again!

★★★★★The absolute best Bed & Breakfast my wife and I have ever stayed at. We had driven 1400 miles with our two Corvettes to attend the Big Cypress Corvette Weekend from Las Vegas, Nevada. From the time we arrived our hosts and owners Darrell & Christi exceeded our expectations at every turn. We were greeted promptly and shown to our room, the West Salon. The salon was spacious and finely appointed. There was a separate seating area from the bedroom, the shower and toilet closet and the vanity/sink was conveniently located adjacent to the sleeping area. Also there was an incredible claw footed free standing tub in the room...so elegant.|| We also had access to the spacious outdoor porch and balcony. As part of our stay we also enjoyed the finest cuisine in Jefferson. For breakfast we enjoyed fresh fruit in a sweet sauce followed by a Fritata on a potato crust and fresh crispy bacon. The evening was a time for adult beverages and an incredible charcuterie board that never seemed to end. In the parlor/dining room there was a home made lemon glazed cake and home made brownies for a snack into the early evening.|| Our hosts Darrell and Christi always made it a point to join us at the end of our meal and share their story about the acquisition of The Black Swan, asking us about ourselves and making us feel more "at-home".|| There is a book in the salon each of the guests have filled-in about their experience or the occasion that brought them to The Black Swan. As I stated in the title you don't need a special occasion to stay here, the stay itself will be very special. Thank-you Darrell & Christi for making our stay complete.

★★★★★Comfy bed, wine, cookies, melt-in-your-mouth breakfast, bubble bath (and a shower as well if you're not a bath person), Keurig in room with tea and cocoa pods in addition to coffee (all the sweetners), tv, new board games. Amazing location. Balcony overlooking Jefferson's quaint main street. Can walk to 1852 on Austin (the best restaurant in town), the General Store (easily waste a day browsing), the Museum of Time and Measurement (ask the owner to demonstrate the old timey instruments in the back), and literally next door to the train car that once housed Jay Gould himself (if you're a fan of the Guilded Age on HBO check this out!), AND only a 20 min drive to Caddo Lake State Park, where you can rent a canoe or hit a trail. For those of you who remember old school mom and pop bed and breakfasts before air bnb was a thing, this is your place. Can't wait to stay again.
