Aspen Suites Hotel Haines

The room was clean to the eye, had an odd array of stuff in a welcome basket. Comfortable bed, nice weight quilted comforter between two sheets. I like that it had a fry pan and pot with lids, cutting board, set of plastic mixing bowls with lids, soap, scrubby, dish cloth and dish towel with a dish rack. Plates, cups, bowls and mugs, silverware but no sharp knife. Local Heritage coffee as well as hot beverages in the lobby and a lovely choice of teas. |TV had ok channels, no premium channels, I also was not able to cast to the tv from my laptop, free wifi, plug in on the lamps, one near bed and one on desk. |I liked having the laundry basket to put my dirty clothes in and to take to the laundry room. I used it to put my used towels in upon checkout day.|Like most hotels since Covid they do not clean your room or come in unless you ask. I miss the days when you came to your room and you had tight sheets and fluffed pillows daily. 7 days is just to long. |The front desk shuts down at 6pm and they lock the area with a cage and access to building is keycard only. |Front desk is not overly friendly, it was the same as my last visit, Perhaps this is a Haines thing.

Large living space, included a kitchenette and utensils to cook with. Very convenient to a grocery store and a brewery. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a fitness room as well as laundry and dryer, both require quarters but staff will help you with it. Overall a very great experience

We stayed 3 nights in a suite with a kitchen and it was perfect for our needs. We made use of the in-house laundry. There were great trails adjacent to the hotel so we could walk our dog close by. The room was fresh and clean and the location near the downtown area was perfect.

Nice rooms, large parking area, helpful staff. Very clean, walking distance from all you might need to grab while traveling, plenty of bald eagles just up the road, secure facility, they let me check in early with no drama. Haines is a Beautiful place.

Rooms are large, clean, well furnished and very quiet. Staff are very helpful, check-in experience was seamless Good location downtown, near restaurants and other points of interest. Alaska Marine Highway (ferry) terminal is 10 minutes away.

My stay here was great. Check in was fast and efficient. I expected a delay because a third party booked and paid for the reservation. But no problems. The desk clerk was Christine. I really enjoyed my visit with her.|My room was on the ground floor and was close to the end exit. There was lots of off street parking.|The room was clean and met my expectations. The shower had lots of pressure and hot water. Loved it. The room had a coffee maker which I liked. I don't want to go to the lobby to get coffee first thing in the morning. So an in room coffee maker was just right. There was also a full size fridge and a mini kitchen with utensils and dishes.|The room was spacious and I had no problem operating the television. The night was quiet and I slept well in the king sized bed. |I would stay here again.|If you want to try the locally brewed beer, you are steps away from the brewery.

What a nightmare. I made a reservation for Sept. 2025. I was | then charged by the reservation company used by this hotel (getaroom.com) over $650 for the dates in 2024! WRONG YEAR! I called the reservations service number - I was told I'd have to cancel my reservation and go by the cancellation policy - um, no. The dates have passed, the policy would say I do not get a refund. I want a refund of what was incorrectly charged. Then I was told they'd send an email to cancel and see what the cancellation policy said. No. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was repeatedly placed on hold (sometimes with chaos in the background - multitudes of people speaking). I kept saying I'd wait, wanting to get this resolved and refund immediately processed, and they kept trying to come up with new ways to get me to hang up and accept an email or a call back. Finally I gave up, instituted a disputed claim with my credit card, and am writing this review in hopes that I'll get my $600 plus dollars back for a mistake made by reservations. Might be a wonderful hotel but the reservations service is a nightmare if there's any sort of problem.

Very clean hotel. The clerk actually texted me before our arrival to make sure our trip was going well and to find out when we would be checking in since they have limited hours for onsite staff. I definitely recommend this place if you're staying in Haines.
