★★★★★The yurt was a great experience. It was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom was planned with tub/shower and lots of hot water, the living-dining area was spacious, and the bedroom was private. We didn't need to use the loft, but it would be a good place to slip off to for some private reading or writing. My husband and I enjoyed the "little" house so much that we considered it a highlight of our stay in Homer. The idea of a yurt is deceptive if you are expecting a rough dwelling. It was cozy and solid. There is nothing like a rain on the roof of a tent to encourage good sleeping! Don't be fooled by the usual image of a tent home, however. This is a large area (bigger than most motel suites) with privacy insured by surrounding trees and bushes. Very quiet. Very special. I want a yurt! The owners were great (available but not intrusive). We will be back.

★★★★★We stayed at the Homer Roundhouse for 3 nights last August and really enjoyed it. It was very clean and quiet and private. Great to have a full kitchen and to experience a Yurt for the first time, but it was essentially a real house. We had our 5 and 7 year old boys with us and they loved the loft space. The access down to the beach where we could walk for miles was great. There are cool leaf fossils if you head west along the beach and look for the flat sandy rocks poking out of the cliff face or near the face. If you aren't used to the long days in summer in Alaska, make sure to bring a sleeping mask or hat to pull over your eyes for this place. The central dome skylight is great for letting in light, but doesn't help for when you want to sleep. So it goes. The place was charming and the owners were very accommodating and helpful (despite just having gone through some surgery the week before!).||||FYI, the homer spit is way over rated if you ask me. If you have kids, don't forget to checkout the Homer Playground; probably one of the best in Alaska outside of Anchorage.

★★★★★My wife and I stayed two nights while visiting Homer and doing some halibut fishing. The Roadhouse is a yurt which is very unique. The yurt is very spacious and included everything you would need - kitchen, living room, large bathroom, etc. I would stay here again if we return to this part of Alaska. The location is close to town and the "spit" is a short drive. We rate it perfect for our needs and exceeded our expectations.

★★★★★My husband has always wanted to stay in a yurt and when we found this little gem in Homer we just had to take the opportunity. The roundhouse is unique in its construction but has all the comforts of home. We had a view of Katchemak Bay, some privacy after staying in a variety of B&B's, RV's etc, the option of making some of our own food and an easy walk to restaurants and stores. But the highlight of our Roundhouse experience was a chance to see owner, Johnny B, perform his show "Rhythms of the North" which was absolutely delightful. There were just 2 of us but the space would easily accommodate a few more. This little roundhouse is a winner!

★★★★★We stayed here in Sept 2015 and it was me and three girlfriends on a girls trip through Alaska. We all fit comfortable in the roundhouse (two people shared a bed, and two of us shared the loft - there was also the sofa downstairs in case we didn't want to share beds). It was walking distance to the downtown area and a short drive to the spit which was great especially after the long drive to get to Homer we could walk to some food places nearby to stretch our legs.||The owners are next door, but it still feels very private and secluded and they stepped out on their porch to said hi and other than that didn't disturb, but left their number in case we did need anything. They also had left lots of magazines and resources for what to do in and around Homer which was great. ||Would love to stay here again if/when I make it back to Homer.

★★★★★My parents loved their time at the Roundhouse. They were in Homer visiting their newest grandchild. The location is perfect for people who like to walk--to the beach, the bakery, main drag in town. The view is lovely and it was quiet. And it was very comfortable--a place my family could come so that grandma and grandpa could cook us dinner and we could relax together with our newborn baby.
