Alaska Angler's Inn

Stayed here quite a few times. Old rooms, they mostly smell like they've been smoked in. Beds are really bouncy in a weird way. Rooms are clean, staff is nice.

A great little spot off the main road, and they have pet friendly rooms. It's a bit noisy on that end - the upper floors of the main house echo a bit into the pet friendly rooms, but if you put the TV on or run the standing fan they provide it's not too distracting. They also don't do that dreadful chain hotel trend of mounting the beds to the wall, so you're able to push them together if you want more space. Not really needed with just the two of us and the dogs, but I noticed it was an option since it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine at chain hotels. It was a nice, cozy home-away-from home vibe. If we travel with the dogs again, we'd definitely return.

One of the more Charming places on the peninsula. The staff is overworked and underpaid. It's clean the food's decent if you really want something good in the morning get yourself the French toast or the side of bacon. Can't go wrong with the steak and taters for dinner.

The hotel exterior and lounge area was very nice. The rooms were spacious and updated. The floors were covered in dirt and sand, which stuck to our feet and wound up in the sheets, even though we brushed our feet off well. Which made me wonder if the sand was already there in the bed. There was a small pee stain on the edge of the bottom sheet and the sheets were very wrinkly, making me wonder even more if they had been changed before we got there. The beds were old and sagging. The pillows were very flat, but you did get two for each side of the beds. It took three days of asking before we got another towel for our third party. Only two towels and one roll of toilet paper and two packs of coffee were provided for a party of three for 4 nights stay. The best part of the stay was the friendly neighboring guest that gave us their extra towel and a broom so that we could clean the floor ourselves. The Catch Restaurant was very good and the service there was great. With more training to improve room service, and continuing to update beds, etc., I think this place could be really nice.

The room here are absolutely beautiful and decorated very nicely. Staff was very helpful and attentive when we needed assistance. I would recommend this place and I would definitely stay again !

Clean and large room. The rooms have been updated. The lobby was very cozy. The bed is way too soft. The water pressure was bad. Good location.

Front desk is very helpful and curious. Rooms are nice restaurant bar is clean polite and efficient burgers are the bomb we had Soldotna Burger and it literally melt in our mouths. Bartender said this will be her 4th year there and she loves it! I recommend this place along with the Catch a must for staying or eating.

This is our second stay at the Angler’s Inn this year and plan on staying there every time we need a great stay! It is not a luxury hotel, but perfect for staying 2-4 days in Soldotna! The rooms were very clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. And the customer service was top notch! The owner was very personable and quickly addressed our questions! And a highlight was restaurant downstairs…The Catch. We ate there frequently and the food was excellent and highly recommended.
