Hyatt Place Phoenix/Chandler-Fashion Center

I travel to Phoenix regularly for business, and this particular trip timed well with the end of the school year. I brought my teen children and my partner along and booked two rooms at this Hyatt. The price was reasonable, and the location seemed suitable for the family to find things to do nearby while I worked in nearby Tempe. ||I booked a king room as well as a double queen for the kids. Both rooms were clean and well appointed. We were on the ground floor. Slept well, good temperature control. There was noise from other guests that was noticeable- loud upstairs kids, running in the halls, etc- but we were early risers most days and it did not affect our stay. ||Breakfast was good- particularly enjoyed having warm tortillas for egg burritos. ||The pool was clean and well maintained- my kids took advantage of this most days as well as the gym. ||I would consider this hotel again on a future stay.

We stayed at the Hyatt while attending a sports tournament at the Arizona Athletic Grounds and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent- very convenient, with plenty of great restaurants and stores nearby. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, which set the tone for a great stay. The room was updated and modern, and our family of four stayed comfortably in the king bedroom suite with the sofa sleeper. There was plenty of space for all of us, and the layout worked perfectly for our needs. The mini fridge was a great convenience for storing drinks and snacks. Breakfast was another highlight- there were plenty of delicious options, and everything was fresh and satisfying. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

It was fine for an extended-ish stay. The service was great. What I really didn’t like was how cheap feel the rooms were. This place will age into falling apart soon. Every time the air conditioner kicked in, the filter in the ceiling would slam sounding like a door was opening. This startled us several times throughout the night, making impossible to get a good nights sleep. Simple maintenance of cleaning the room a/c filters would resolve this. The room also smelled upon entering. It doesn’t seem that old, but lack of maintenance will catch up quickly. The breakfast was awful. I saw someone pouring water into the oatmeal, making it turn into a soup consistency. Why?

Awesome hotel! Breakfast is top notch, staff is friendly. I stay here a lot and I often find they don’t put me in a room I pay for, putting me in an accessible room vs the non-accessible I paid for. You need to fix this, this is the 2nd time this month it has happened to me.

The room was clean and smelling fresh. Bathroom was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable….l slept like a baby. The breakfast was decent. The staff were very professional, engaging, helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to a shopping area and a lot of nice places to eat.

I had an absolutely outstanding stay at this hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the spotless cleanliness and beautifully designed rooms. He truly goes above and beyond, providing the kindest and most professional service with a friendly attitude that makes you feel right at home. I've stayed at Hyatt properties in many different cities and states, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. The three issues that stood out the most to me are: 1. Very old building – The entire structure feels outdated and poorly maintained. 2. Excessive noise in the morning – Even before 7 A.M., it was extremely loud, both from the hallway (housekeeping began cleaning rooms at 7 a.m.??) and the parking lot. I stayed on the top floor (the 3rd floor) and could still clearly hear people yelling in the lot. The building is so old. The rooms are still arranged on both sides of a very narrow hallway, barely wide enough for two people to walk side by side. As such, when someone across the hall shut their door, you could hear it very clearly and will wake you up right away. 3. Unprofessional service – During my first stay, I accidentally left a pair of jeans in the closet. I called three days in a row, and each time they said they’d look for it, but no one ever followed up. On my second stay, I booked the room using Hyatt points online, but they still charged my credit card. Completely unprofessional.

I was amazed i could find a room after 10 pm. Everything was great and comfortable. But I was not founded with the restroom sliding barn door. It didn't lock, or it wasn't adjusted right. Plus, the restroom shouldn't be close to the beds. Overall, my mom and I slept peacefully. Thank you.
