NillRecently traveled for business but briefly extended the stay to explore Arizona. First the good. Hotel was clean, and I have to give credit to front desk staff who allowed me to check-in a few hours early. Also housekeeping staff was very pleasant. The views on top floor are very nice and worth checking out if you're going to stay here. The not so good: soap dispenser broken off in shower, water in hotel gym nonfunctional, soda machine at rooftop bar out of function, credit card machine on top floor out of function. If it was just one item, no big deal, but the collective issues tells me the details are being missed. Also, the daily resort fee, which includes coupons for food and beverage comes with significant restrictions. Can't get specialty coffee, can't get food at main restaurant, etc. I stayed in Scottsdale 2 years ago, a short 10 minute drive North, similar pricing with better service, better resort options, avoidance of daily parking fees. I even brought this up to staff with overall indifference as a response. Overall not a bad stay but wouldn't return on my own if only for pleasure. Could've got a similar or better experience at a Fairfield or Hampton Inn down the road with cheaper rates. A little underwhelming for the typical experience expected from the Westin brand.

NillOne of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. My only issue was parking… Our entire stay it was full so we had to find someplace else to park. Then there was a Starbucks linked to the hotel and both times me and my wife went it was the worst customer service from the hotel. On top of that very dry and bland pastries and the coffee was decent one day it was good the other was bad I would just suggest getting coffee while your out. Other than those two gripes wow! I had the best Amaretto sour at the lobby bar with some top tier customer service. The lobby staff was always helpful and kind. The entire place was just gorgeous and full of life. The rooftop was a great hangout spot it was a little small but still very fun especially at night. Our room was clean, comfy and full of little things that just made you feel special. We did not have any food here because it was saying breakfast was $79 dollars per person when I was booking…. I suggest having a nice little walk down to First watch which is very close for your coffee and breakfast. Then tons of good food joints around the hotel as well. I will definitely be going here again!

NillStaying for a board meeting. I was not expecting the rooms to have so much natural light and space. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The food in the first floor restaurant was amazing. I had the salmon entree. The flavors were so fresh and paired beautifully.

★I have stayed at this property countless times and this most recent stay will be my last. I am an Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member and stay 230-250 nights a year at Marriott properties around the world. I haven’t come across such a frustrating and belittling experience at a hotel in a very long time. Let me start by saying that this hotel is usually pretty good- but all of that goodwill built over the years can be undone immediately by one employee’s actions. I work late in my room and often arrive on late on flights coming to PHX so I can have a full day in whatever city I’m in before coming to Tempe. As such, I often order from UberEats knowing that this hotel has a microwave in the cafe area. This is one of the reasons that I choose this hotel as trivial as that may sound. For travelers like me, this matters. For years, this has never been an issue. Last night, I came in from a very long day of work and went down to warm up my food and approached the Asian-American woman behind the front desk to be to be given access to the microwave. She was beyond rude to me despite this being my first ever encounter with her. She cut me off multiple times to let me know that I couldn’t have access to the microwave that I’d used dozens and dozens of times in the past. She gave me no explanation aside from “you have to wait until 7am to use it”. I was belittled and treated like I was an awful person for even asking her a question. I don’t know if I look like someone who wronged her in the past or what. Her extremely poor attitude was confusing and is the issue at hand here. Yes, having to eat cold food was disappointing, but her crass tone and out of nowhere hostility toward me was plain wrong. I never knew the hotel restricts access to the microwave and for travelers like me, know that we plan on using it with our late schedules. The quality of the hotel has been declining for a while and this shocking behavior on something so trivial shows me that I’m not valued by this hotel. I am always kind and respectful to the employees at every hotel I stay and only ask for the same treatment back. As a result of this incident, I am no longer considering this hotel for multiple future events. If I can’t trust that my event attendees won’t be given proper customer service, I can’t risk my own reputation by working with this hotel. Please do better. As a Marriott shareholder and loyal customer who spends up to 70% of a year in Marriott hotels every year, I am troubled by this situation.

NillThe location is great and the staff is very courteous. Valet is $42/night though there is hourly street parking that is generally inexpensive but you have a max of 3 hits and then have to move. Also, you are competing with students for the street parking. There is another garage nearby as well.

★★★★★The place was very clean and the sleep was really good. Hannah at the front desk made our stay extra special! She deserves a raise for the hardwork. The valet service as well was very quick ||We travelled from Montreal and would definitely be staying here next time ||- Bryan Y

NillOMG!!! Worst suite I have ever stayed in!!!! After waiting 2 hours for our room we walked into our suite, first impression… beautiful…. However as we started unpacking our bags( we are here for my sons wedding) there is literally NO PLACE to put our clothing but one very small half closet that did not even fit all my clothing, to say nothing of my husbands!! One small closet off the dining that has a safe. Extra bedding and ONE small drawer!!! Seriously this is RIDICULOUS!!! I would never recommend anyone to stay here if you an on staying more than one night!!! So Disappointed!!…. We love BonVoy Marriott but please…. you can do better!!

NillPerfectly located near plenty of restaurants and the wonderful Salt River recreation area. It was wonderful to go along the river each morning for a jog and in the evening across the Mill Street Bridge. The staff was very hospitable and treated me with dignity and respect.
