Morro Bay Beach Inn

My family reserved three rooms. Our rooms have a great view of Morro Rock. This hotel is a great location to visit Hearst Castle, Piedras Blancas Light House, Elephant Seal Rookery and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are minor issues: The first night we stayed, their water heater wasn’t working so we had to take cold shower. They finally got it fixed around 7pm the next night. We had issues with our room card keys when we returned to our rooms and had to go to the front desk to reactive each day. Other than the two incidents my family enjoyed our stay. We will return in the future. Thank you to the owner, Jay for the wonderful room.

Very affordable and accommodating and clean the room was very nice and clean the view was amazing and I felt safe there just a nice walk from morro bay pear and a really nice close restraunt down the corner was delicious will be coming back here again

Stay at your own risk… I legit thought I was crazy for thinking so poorly of this place after reading the Google reviews. I went and looked at the reviews on Yelp and confirmed it wasn’t just me…. First of all. Staff was RUDE. I was here during the week for a work trip. I work swing shifts and get off pretty late. I received multiple calls from staff asking when I was going to check in. I wasn’t bothered by them asking that but their tone was unpleasant. I finally arrive and check in and the male working couldn’t be anymore rude. I don’t even care about that though… When I saw my room it GROSSED me out to no end. It smelled so bad. The bedding had stains on it and had holes like someone put out a cigarette on it. The towels were old and had brown and orange stains. The tub was flooding.. Needless to say.. it was a long and uncomfortable night. I didn’t sleep. Wouldn’t recommend. Read Yelp reviews before booking!!!! Editing because the owner wants to call me a liar after giving an honest review. Here is the copy of my receipt. They called me 4 times immediately after leaving the review. If I never stayed there, how did you get my contact information?

Really nice place to stay with clean and spacious room. The owner was also extremely friendly and provided us all the necessary info and suggesions for continuing the journey.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with our choice. The room was clean and spacious, the location was perfect to explore the area by foot. The staff is exceptionally nice. We would come back anytime and highly recommend this place.

Staff was rude when requesting extra linens. Staff was rude on handling noise complaint at 10pm regarding my toddler who woke up in a talkative frenzy. Staff was also rude with attitude and inconsideration upon check out. Calling our room several times, check out was at 11am we checked out by 12pm. requesting my family to leave after staying up to 2am with my toddler who was living her best life summer vacation. Beach vibes. Not a family-friendly place . My review is not false. Please take accountability for your actions. Thank you

We have stayed a few times here. I would definitely come back. Nice comfortable bed, hot shower, clean towels, and quiet rooms. I recommend this place. Staff is helpful and kind. We look forward to returning. The view out of our window was spectacular Morro Bay rock.until next time.

The room was very clean and cozy, and even came with a touch sensor mirror! The owner is also very sweet and clearly cares about the guests. I felt extremely safe as a solo traveling female. For the low price, it's well worth the stay. Side note: The location is PERFECT and just a 5 minute walk to the pier! I could see Morro Rock right outside my door, too!
