I agree with the previous review- an iconic building from 1929 with history, now converted to unique condos with character and old world charm. Stay in one of the updated units during your visit, for a peek into the elegance of the 1930s right in the heart of San Diego. Quite a difference from those dime-a-dozen cookie cutter apartment buildings with cheap finishings.

I remember when it was a hotel back in 1974. we ate dinner there. every time we went downtown I'd beg my folks just to go up the elevator with me! that glass elevator was my favorite pastime!

It's no longer a hotel; it's a private condominium tower, but it's a beautiful icon. I love this building.

Really loud screeching noise coming from the roof 24/7

Historical location. I went to a wedding and the small ballroom was just the right place for a midsize function.
