Motel 6 San Diego, CA - Hotel Circle - Mission Valley

So obviously the location is amazing right at the end of Hotel Circle so you’re not stuck in the middle with all the hotels and traffic and people walking around and car dealerships in this and that you can literally hop on the freeway in five seconds from leaving the parking lot and be at the beach really quick. The service is amazing. I don’t know if it’s new staff or they’ve just decided to step it up, but everyone has been extremely nice courteous helpful understanding everything you could ask for when staying at a hotel. I was even given a discount because I didn’t have enough cash on me. I’m telling you they are above and beyond. The rooms have just been remodeled and they are really nice. I was shocked if this is a two star hotel then that’s crazy because super clean. They are doing some work on stairs and in parking lot, but that’s great. It was not that big of a deal and the new studios are awesome refrigerators that are big enough to put all your food in when you go shopping. The whole experience was just shocking. It was so perfect. Honestly, I’ve stayed here many times in the past and coming back now. I thought I was in a four star hotel thank you guys so much for everything you’ve done to make My stay amazing and if you’re wondering if you should stay here or not believe me, you should definitely stay here you’ll not regret it at all. You can only hope to enjoy a vacation like I did thank you.

I picked this location for convenience while my vehicle was repaired at a dealer down the street. If cleanliness is a must, don’t stay here. The floors and walls were filthy in the room I stayed in. I laid out all the towels on the floor from the bed to the bathroom just keep my feet off the floor. The Staff was nice but I would not recommend this location.

Staff is excellent. They really go above and beyond to make their clientele feel welcomed. I don’t stay in motel 6’s frequently. My other typical hotel branches were booked up during my stay (big pride event going on, yah know). Nonetheless, expecting the worse and hoping for the best; I got an awesome experience. Axel, I think was his name? He really pulled through and got me well accommodated. He was a pleasant conversationalist as well. 10/10 would stay at * this * particular motel!

Location next to the freeway was convenient. Reasonably priced for the area. However, you get what you pay for. The building was rather old and somewhat dilapidated. Elevator was old. The location was sketchy with a lot of people hanging around outside. Could hear people arguing and cursing each other outside. They had a laundry room with several broken machines and some that worked. It served its purpose of allowing me to do a load of laundry. However, the hotel served its purpose and had a room available on short notice for the night. If in a bind, I would stay here again. Otherwise, I would probably choose a different hotel.

Positive: The thing I like most it like home away from home. Negative: I did not like being disturbed when I extended my stay already prepaid room. I was rudely awakened by two front desk employees, which is a no no. Guest are not to be disturbed at all cost especialy on a prepaid room and no loss of revanue to the hotel.

It was ok. Bedsheets are so thin and smelled of mildew, no body wash or shampoo provided, and only provided three small pillows.

A veteran needed coffee late night and Alex (Front desk) came through. I cannot say enough about the staff and their helpful nature. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and care!

Stayed here for just one night to get some rest before starting a 30 hour roadtrip across country after the movers took all of my furniture. I stayed with my dad and 2 cats, and we were put in the large building behind the main building. I definitely didn’t feel safe or that my car was safe, but we both survived the night. Outside doors to the building were taped to keep it unlocked and ajar. Rooms were okay, but I’ve stayed in worse Motel 6 locations. AC was decent and the WiFi was okay at best. The only redeeming quality was how kind and helpful the front desk staff was. They were both very warm and welcoming.
