Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/SeaWorld Area

There are too many other hotels in the area with better service. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is due to location. At check in I asked for a quiet area away from the elevator and small children. I was placed next to the elevator and surrounded by not only children but the maintenance staff. In addition to that my room had some type of exhaust on that shook the entire floor night and day. I’ve stayed in 100s of hotels and never have I’ve experienced such constant noise both day and night, it was awful and exhausting. For a Hilton I’m really surprised by the standard.

The hotel is bright, clean , safe and in a very safe neighborhood. The restaurant is clean, friendly man and woman in am great service, great food. Anna K at front desk is welcoming and accommodating . The rooms are bright large and modern. The neighborhood is very walkable to bus, less than 2 blocks from 992 from airport. It makes it an easy no car vacation. The trolley is about 4 blocks away and walking to ships is down the street to harbor drive.

I had a fantastic stay at this spotless hotel, perfectly located for easy access to local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, with Rafael going above and beyond to assist during a challenging situation beyond the hotel’s control. His support made my departure smooth and stress-free. The entire team clearly prioritized excellent customer service.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The incessant blinking smoke alarm light, which was functioning normally (not a low battery light), was disturbing during the night, and the people above us were stompers. Ugh! Front desk staff were super sweet! I would stay again, but I would ask for the top floor.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Anna at the front desk was so helpful, informative about the area and accommodating. Our air conditioning wasn’t working when we first got there. They moved us right away to a room nearby. There are many places to eat nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, well appointed and staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms are also well appointed and quiet. The best part was the Verde resturant on site, has a burger called the "Old Town" that was one of the best burger I have ever had in my life. It comes with fries that are top notch but if you don't want to venture out you will not be dissapointed. You will need two hands for this burger and plenty of napkins.

Very nice hotel, with a super comfy bed. Right across from Old Town so there is ton of dinner options & shopping but be warned, not much else. For that reason I wish there was free breakfast. There is a restaurant on property though, but after paying for parking (a SD norm) they should give you something. (I highly recommend The Living Room Cafe, especially if you're taking the Trolly - just a few feet up San Diego Ave from the first stop & great breakfast!) Overall though this is a great place to stay if you don't want to be in downtown!

We were in San Diego for our Grandson’s graduation from Marine Boot Camp. We were a family of 7 and we had several rooms booked for our stay. The ladies at the front desk were absolutely wonderful both day and night. Right from the start the young lady on the morning shift was so sweet and helpful getting our bags stowed since we arrived early and rooms weren’t ready that time of the morning. And she was so hospitable and helpful in letting us know that she would message us as soon as our rooms were ready!! The other lady that worked in the afternoon was just as Great!! She always had a smile on and so friendly. |Our rooms were perfect! Everything was so clean and fresh and we had everything we needed each and every day!! |The hotel is beautiful and comfortable… the bar and bartenders were great and made really good drinks. We ordered food from the bar and it too was wonderful!! It sits just across the street from Old Town and we enjoyed visiting it a couple of times for dinner and drinks… also if you are there to watch graduation at MCRD, it is really close by car.|Trust me this hotel is a great place to stay and should we ever visit San Diego again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again!! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay a memorable one!!!
