NillBooked the rooms over the phone and requested two adjoining rooms. We were told they were available. Upon checking in, we were told that it was two rooms next to each other and that the hotel didn't offer adjoining rooms. Location is off the strip and a bit hard to find at night. Parking was very limited. As soon as we walked into the lobby, we smelled cigarette smoke. Disappointing for a non-smoking hotel since my wife has horrible asthma. At least the staff was friendly. The smoke smell was in the rooms too. The rooms were dark, dirty, and dated. There was a large stain on the carpet, and the bathroom hardware was rusty and dirty. It was a bit concerning the our hotel doors were missing parts near the edge and the frames were damaged, leaving huge gaps that you could see light through. Not very secure. The pool was okay, but the sauna wasn't working and locked up. Overall, spend the extra $20 and get you a better room down the street. This could be a descent hotel and they were to spend some money and effort to modernize, repair, and clean it.

Nillvery clean, quiet, and comfortable. hot tea upon arrival after sub freezing temps outside was such a nice gesture. great staff, they were so nice and welcoming to my family. sunset views from my room and picnic tables behind the hotel were amazing. far exceeded my expectations for paying less than 100 per night. will definitely stay again when we visit the ice castles.

NillThere's a horrible stale smell throughout the entire building. The couch is stained and disgusting. Dust coating everything, can tell they didn't clean the room. Found a used towel hanging in the bathroom and a razor guard on the floor. We were told at the Golden Nugget, which is where I thought I was booking that we were staying here in their "suites, which are really nice". The lies they tell. Stay somewhere else.

NillPretty cool views of Cripple Creek. This is an older building and though smoking is no longer allowed. It still smells like cigarette smoke from years past. If that bothers you, this hotel is not for you. It didn't bother me and I enjoyed my stay. It is also worth mentioning that this hotel was 100 bucks cheaper than other nearby.

NillI am writing to bring to your attention a situation that is just peachy, involving your manager, who is clearly a paragon of virtue. I received an email from Ms. Lovell that prompted me to call her back and verify some information, because who doesn't love a good game of phone tag? Upon checking out, I experienced an issue where my payment was not properly recorded, but after providing proof of payment, the staff were able to locate it, because apparently, they needed my help to do their job. However, I take issue with Ms. Lovell's completely warranted accusation of wrongdoing, said no one ever. She admitted to being the one who checked me in and confirmed that she had repeatedly charged my card without my consent after I had already paid, which is just fantastic customer service. I am concerned that this could be considered credit card fraud, but hey, what do I know? I hope that in the future, your managers will take a more respectful and thorough approach to handling customer issues, but I won't hold my breath. I am glad that I did not recommend your establishment to my family and friends, and I will be taking my business elsewhere, because clearly, you don't need my money.

NillThe staff is nice but the hotel smells awful and is dirty....very ran down with the exception of the pool and hot tub those are very nice and definitely the best part of the hotel. There is no breakfast although it's advertised. Don't stay here I was disappointed

NillChecked in. They let us come about an hour early. First room the lock was broken and couldn’t get in. The man working front desk was very nice and apologetic and immediately gave us a new room. While checking in another man who seems to be with maintenance came up to front desk in the middle of us checking in and started talking to the clerk checking us in. He was yelling about the tvs and how customers keep messing with them so they needed to remove one of the adds blah bla h blah. He’s doing this in the middle of the front desk clerk checking in customers. Well we got the new room. Went to turn on the tv and the remote didn’t work. I attempted reprogramming it to the tv still nothing. Went down to get a new remote. I was able to program that one myself to the tv. Go to get in bed and there is a stain on the pillow case blanket and sheets. They weren’t changed. Also the sheet was a size too small for the queen bed so it wouldn’t even stay on the bed. So that was fought with all night. Nasty stained and VERY worn mattress underneath. Gross. Bathtub wasn’t clean and the shower curtain had dirt spots all over and old crusty soap and the bottom that went into the tub was completely pink with mildew. I paid a few dollars short of $200 for ONE night for a nasty ass hotel room?! It was my boyfriends birthday weekend too so that was pretty embarrassing. Would not recommend unless you want to clean your room yourself. The front desk clerk was very nice though and very apologetic.

NillI wouldn't stay here if you didn't drive. The owners of the Golden Nugget casino own this hotel as well and they do not offer a shuttle or any ride service from this hotel to their casino And let me tell you, the walk up to this casino is treacherous. The hotel doesn't look like much but the rooms are decent but basic. They have a heated pool which is nice and they got a really hot hot tub.
