Kimpton Overland Hotel - Atlanta Airport

We stayed here because our flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight. The staff were all very friendly and our room was very nice. Charles at the front desk was excellent. Check in was smooth. He arranged for the hotels transportation to take us to the store. And back. The bus driver was also very helpful. The restaurant there was good with a bar (which we appreciated as we decompress after loosing a precious vacation day). They had complimentary wine and appetizer (beef Wellington bites) in the very nice “living room”||Thanks Charles for your southern hospitality!

I love this hotel! I’ve stayed here several times for business meetings. The staff are welcoming. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Meeting rooms are perfect for our needs. The on-site restaurant has a small but flavorful selection of entrees. And who can argue with the complimentary glass of wine at 5:00? The hotel is also located just minutes from the airport. Despite the fact that you can almost reach out and touch the airplanes taking off from Hartsfield-Jackson, the rooms are very quiet. Next door you’ll find Porsche’s North American headquarters, and just down the road you can grab a bite at the original Chik-fil-A location.

Rachel was great for us by giving us details about the hotel right as she checked us in. I was glad to see the parking lot at least secured with a gate arm for paying customers. Very well lit also. Our room was spacious for our stay. Shuttle service was easy and dropped us off directly at our destination. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Rachel

Every staff member that we encountered here was friendly and affable, and provided excellent service. A shout out to Samantha, Rachel, and Pvatik. From the word go I felt like a valued member and guest. |Each room has a yoga mat! There is also a nicely outfitted fitness center. They have an indoor pool but we did not use it. |It was in off season but the deck on the top floor was open to view the airplanes landing nearby and the next door’s Porsche Driving Experience track. If you ask at the front desk they provide binoculars for your viewing pleasure on the rooftop. |This hotel is very clean! My only problem with this place was the thin inner walls. I could hear my very loud neighbor beside us even into the late night. However, with the double paned windows in the room you do not hear air traffic noise. I would stay here again!

The rooms were clean but the shower toilet layout was weird no counter space and the doors did not flow well. The rooms was a little on the dark side. I order breakfast at 10 it never came I called at 10:50 and they acted like they didn't know then she seemed to find it but I ask if it was cold. She said no. It was obviously microwaved as the heat distribution was off and my eggs were hard like it gets in the microwave. Terrible for a meal cost to 40.00 dollars. I get a late check out but still had to do a little work in the lounge area in the lobby. The music was blasting. Way too loud to even have a conversation next to you. Forget listening to the TV they had playing. It is close to airport.

Do not stay here! My husband and I stayed here for one night as a result of a missed connection. As a frequent traveler, I was extremely disappointed by this Kimpton property. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in especially at the price point of $500+ per night. The room was extremely dirty, dark, and carpeted. The aesthetics of this hotel are ugly. The rooftop and bar were closed. I have stayed at other Kimpton Hotels (Ft Lauderdale) and enjoyed them but I would definitely avoid this one! The only saving grace of this hotel is the friendly, helpful staff and airport shuttle. Pros Complimentary airport shuttle (albeit slow) Friendly, helpful staff Cons Expensive and not worth the price Cleanliness; Extremely dirty rooms Housekeeping service is poor Ugly hotel/aesthetics Dark, carpeted rooms

I booked last minute and, even though the hotel is quite full, I managed to get a room. Charles and Terri fielded multiple calls from me as I made my way on MARTA from|North Atlanta to ATL and onto the airport hotel shuttle. They were kind, professional and helpful every step of the way. And if I was annoying with my organizational struggles, they didn’t show it! Thanks guys! The room is modern with a smart layout, and a very comfortable bed. I also had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The customer service here is 100% terrific and I’m looking forward to a solid night’s sleep.

I have mixed feelings! The room was very spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. There was no tissue, tea or coffee in the room and even when I requested they were not replenished. We were there for a corporate meeting. The catering team worked hard and they were wonderful. They were very respectful of our meeting and they covered all their bases quietly. I was not impressed by the fact that we couldn’t add our IHG number to the reservation.
