My wife my 7 week old son and I were traveling from about 4 hours south of this hotel, 2 hours prior to my arrival to the hotel I called and told them we were still coming we were just running a-little late, The person on the phone replied with " no problem see you soon" we arrived at the hotel and it was very nice lobby, however the lady at the counter told me that she didn't have our king room available due to the fact that she had to give it away to another guest, but she would put us in a two bed queen room, the website also offered a crib for my son, they told us that they didn't have a crib, every property that i have ever stayed at has had a crib we had to sleep separately in order to safely allow our child to sleep, I asked her for a refund on my stay and I would take the queen room, she said that if i didn't pay I could not stay there. I told her that I just traveled 4 almost 5 hours to stay here so that my son could be seen by his doctor at Emory University medical center the following day. she refused to do anything to make me happy. she put us in a room and pushed us to the side. I am out of my money that I spent. after speaking with the manager the following day, the manager offered fourty percent off my next stay. I declined her offer because the hallways smell awful of weed and the rooms are disgusting, they refused to give me my money back and all they would do is offer me additional rewards points. as far as I am concerned, this is a terrible place to stay and I will never stay at this hotel again the sidewalk is cleaner than this hotel. corporate should be ashamed to put their name on the desk of this garbage can. terrible customer service and horrible experience at this hotel. I still want my money back, and honestly this entire stay was a money scam and Holton honors will have my business next time.

Stayed at this hotel to easier access the MARTA system to attend an NBA Game in Atlanta. Great location, easy on/off highway access, clean, quiet and ample parking. The restaurant in the lobby smelled great and was open late (didn't have time to attend) The only issue I have with the sink that is located outside of the bathroom. These types of bathrooms really rub me the wrong way - but what can you do.?!? Clean room, couch for lounging - the TV channels were not consistent with the channel guide, but we figured it out. I wanted to attach my firestick - but was unable to due to the remote being so "generic" that it did not have a button to find the "source" to find HDMI port. I would stay again, and leave my firestick at home and maybe visit the restaurant next time.

Posted Breakfast hours ended at 10 am. I sat down at 0930 and waited for 20 minutes while the server was in the kitchen. She finally came out and informed the other guests, that were now waiting as well, she was starting to prepare for lunch at noon and her last breakfast request was the family that were patiently waiting before I got there. As Diamond Elite member, one of my options is free breakfast. This did not happen. I informed the front desk Manager and her quick resolution was to add 500 amenity points to my account. This is in no way the proper solution but I said thank you and left without incident. I have yet to receive those points nor do I want them. I would not recommend this property.

Holiday inn Atlanta trip ( Northlake) 1. Ice machine doesn’t work, and said I would have to go make up to another floor instead of just filling my kids sports bottle there behind the bar. 2. Bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way so no privacy. 3. Shower handle doesn’t work so could never really get the show to work properly 4. Bathroom exhaust fan is so loud and annoying 5. Floor was sticky 6. Tractor trailer just sitting in parking lot with no truck attached and no Reno going on. Very unappealing 7. Puddle of water at the window 8. Tv would work and then loose signal and show randomly 9. Staff just not friendly or caring at all And always on a cell phone and seemed to be on a personal call. 10. When I checked out and gave my keys back, no response or thank you or how was your stay, but they were on the cell phone laughing 11. Elevators smelled horrible with smoke and weed, just made me cough and lose breath walking into it. 12. Linens were not clean 13. Had no where to charge phone, every hotel I have stayed in within the last couple of years had a usb outlet so I didn’t bring the plugin box. 14. No breakfast or coffee because I wasn’t a certain club member I was told. Just worst experience have ever had in hotel and Holiday inn. Never had experience like that, but so bad I will probably take holiday inn off my list to stay now because I don’t want to take a chance of this experience again with my family

The front desk and housekeeper staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and mostly clean. The desk chair was dirty and broken, but other than that, there were no issues. Overall, I was pleased with the affordability and the stay.

Wont be back. TBH this hotel was really ghetto. I don't expect this from the IHG hotels, but it was. The smell of weed was everywhere. The room had a leak that wouldn't stop. It seemed like an old hotel they tried to renovate. The breakfast was really basic and not really much to choose from. Getting towels was an issue to. They must have ran out because when we got them they weren't even really bath towels. I wouldn't go back.

Experience: I checked in about 3:15 pm and when I got to the room I was disappointed to find broken furniture, outlets out of the wall, and the ceiling peeling in the restroom. I had a meeting so I left the hotel and immediately chatted with the guest service line. I was on chat for hours and was told the hotel manager would speak with me upon my return. I returned to the hotel a few minutes after that chat ended and the front desk staff said that the mgr left and they were not informed about my situation. I was frustrated, and went to the room. When stepping out of the elevator I immediately smelled marijuana. I went into the room looked around the room once more, and went downstairs. I explained the smell of drugs and was given another room on a different floor. By now, other patrons are filling the hotel. I get my things from the room and go to the new room. I feel very unsafe with the patrons pacing throughout the hotel and I’m noticing more broken things. The elevator led display arrow is broken in one hallway, some things in the new room are broken, too, like the refrigerator cabinet door. The parking lot has become a hangout, as well. I began feeling very unsafe. I called IHG customer service, explained the situation and asked for another hotel as with the patrons, the drugs, and the broken furniture. By now it was 5:00pm I spent the next 5 hours on the phone to get no help in my situation. I literally checked out of the hotel with customer service on the line. I had no hotel and ended up sleeping in my car that night. I requested a refund from the hotel. But haven’t heard back as of yet. I called the hotel 3 times the following Monday and there was no answer. A customer representative from IHG emailed at 11:30 pm my time which I saw the following day, saying we are giving you 5000 points you should receive them within 5-7 days. I spent 16,000 points booking this room. I called back and sent an email and now we’re on the 10th day and I still have not received a response. I am so disappointed in this brand. I am also disappointed that no one responded and I’m even more concerned that this hotel is allowed to be run like this under the name Holiday Inn and representing IHG (I have stayed at Holiday Inns before). The front desk staff was very nice, But, that’s not enough. The rooms and atmosphere must family-friendly. My daughter mentioned to me after we left, “Mom, they have a sign posted in the lobby that if someone is doing drugs and must be removed by police from the property there will be a fine.” Really? Are they allowing their hotel to become a designated smoking area? Especially for drugs? Summary: I didn’t sleep or even stay at this Holiday Inn. I would love someone to call me back so this issue can be heard more, and I can be compensated and refunded. ⁃ I spent 16,000 points ⁃ I spent 6 and a half hours between chat and phone looking for a solution. ⁃ I slept in my car. I also would love to speak with the manager and owner of this hotel. I am definitely going to be sending a letter to corporate copying and forwarding the CEO Elie Maalouf.

The location of this hotel, as well as the Front Desk’s Hospitality, saves it from a bad rating. For the price you pay, you get: -A room that’s hard to keep temperature controlled (Due to it being either too cold or too hot) -Elevators that smell like weed (so did some of the guests 🤨) -A Fitness Area that could use a deep clean -A number suspect individuals lookin at you like you stole something. I may give this hotel, another try in the future, since it’s nearby places like the CDC and others that I visit for work. But I’m hoping for a better experience and what I had last time.
