1 Star is generous for this place. A pig-pen is cleaner than this motel. TV fell off the wall while sleeping (held in by 1 nail into plaster), fist fights between tenants (weekly rate 199, I only saw long-term folks during our stay), 4 different types of bugs in the room, ALL sheets & blankets had blood and pee stains (including the fresh set I asked for at the front desk) For your families sake, Do Not let the cheap price bring you in.

Informed the front desk ahead of time that my friend and I were each traveling with our service dog but the owner after being checked in and charged out said that we had to pay additional cleaning fees due to someone else's "service dog" urinating in a room at a prior date. Informed the owner that by law he can not charged us additional cleaning fees unless our actually service dogs were to damage the property. Tried compromising by having the owner come to the room on our check out to see if any damages were done to then pay for them but would not try to compromise. The owner was very unreasonable and the receptionist was very rude as well.

In these times with a pandemic, you would think establishments such as this, would be on top of their game. Cleanliness and amenities, as allowed. I see on this site, that the rate to stay is listed as $50. We were quoted $55 and by the time taxes and fees were added, the total was $68.25. We found the furnishings to be shabby and in need of repair or discarded. The towels, sheets, and pillows were clean and adequate. The floor in the vanity area was dirty, needed swept. The bath mat needed replaced...signs of mildew. When I went to make coffee in the tiny pot, the holding area for the water was dirty. I went down the road for coffee. The mini fridge and microwave were so dusty, you could write in the dirt. Overall, very disappointed. You get what you pay for.

Review by wife..Barbara Haynes Reservations made thru hotels.com on Sunday before we left somerset ky.. traffic was terrible and we didn't get to Derby Inn til 11:30pm. I called around 930 pm spoke with Alex and had no issues checking in great service. Spacious room with a table and 2 chairs. Bathroom was clean and the water hot. Fridge and microwave decent tv and cable channels. Double beds are regular full size our room had 2. Clean linens and towels. Booked our stay thru hotels.com everything was smoothe thanks for the pet walk area.very well lit up outside. 2 floors walk up on the inner side and outside. No elevator. Looked like alot of empty rooms. Perfect place for working crews from out of town. . Quiet at nights . AC was fine. Comfortable 3 night stay for less than 182$. And my pets were welcome. I'd stay again.

I spoke too soon, I had to come back and edit this review. After paying for 2 weeks and being woke up every night, and a sink stopped up and then the day before I was supposed to check out the hotel. The owner comes to my room telling me that it's checkout day. I showed him my receipt but I don't think he spoke English he was wanting me to pay for another week and I tried to tell him that I was checking out the next day anyway. And ended up checking out a day early and paying for one night at the Quality inn which was a nice motel and then when I went to check in to the hotel that I had made reservations at he had called them and told them that I did not pay how do you not pay for a hotel room not only did I pay top dollar in advance I left one day early and then he blackballed me with my other reservation.

Sheets were clean. Towels were clean. Everything else was filthy. Spots on the pictures. Very noticeable smears on all mirrors and windows. Bathroom area mirror had toothpaste spots. Hair from previous guests in the shower. You get what you pay for but wow I expected better.

The rooms are old and the furniture is broken. The mirror is broken and the carpet is dirty. The very helpful lady at the front desk is GREAT!! That is the only good thing about this place!

Went for a concert with Stan Butler and guest. It appears to be an old Ramada inn renamed to make a dollar. Old outdated fixtures and amenities in bathroom and conference room.
