Red Roof Inn Perry

First and foremost it was the worst experience at a hotel/motel my family had ever experienced. I asked for a bottom floor room because my child is in a wheelchair (no elevators, only stairs) we were told there were no rooms on bottom floor available. Second when my husband went into the room to check it out, 2 police officers stood at the front door for the guest in the next room, he had a warrant for his arrest. Third, the guests on both sides of our room smoked pot all night long. I am not knocking pot but if there is people next to you, at least have the respect of going further away from the building, not everyone likes the smell of it. The room at first looked clean. After searching, the air filter in the heater was so thick, it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced in years, we didn’t even run the unit all night and it was in the 20’s. There was trash under both beds and the tub dripped all night. It was a terrible experience and I don’t recommend this place at all. It’s was very iffie and the customer service is about as good as the room.

Nothing about this hotel deserves 3 stars. This hotel is a zero star hotel. The first issue was the smell when you walk in the door, the second issue was the filthy sheets and we had to make our own bed after asking for new sheets, the third issue is the disgusting floor and we asked for it to be cleaned and was informed that it only gets cleaned every 4 days. The 4th issue was the shower wouldn’t work when we checked in the first night so we could take showers after a long day of traveling. There are holes in the walls and the smoke detector was ripped out of the wall leaving wires exposed. There is nothing about this hotel clean and it should not be open to the public to stay in.

This place was a major disappointment. I stay in selective..& l mean pre-screened Red Roof motels. They are not all the same. Only 2 positives about this one. The beds were comfortable & they actually had water bottles. (They all are supposed to for patrons )|Negatives....No breakfast, elevator, pool, or fan in the bathroom. We just about killed ourselves climbing the stairs.! The floors were dirty, especially in the bathroom. Unfortunately we did not discover this until one of us stepped out of the shower! We would not stay there again.

Positive: The water was warm and the air conditioner worked properly Negative: The outside steps was filthy I saw specs of blood.they didn't have carpet which I do not like but it was an emergency because of hurricane Helene.. the floors was dirty needed a good mopping bath light didn't work we had to get another fridge that work

Positive: Wonderful staff! Friendly and helpful. Extra clean towels anytime. Front desk had coffee ready at 5:30am when they heard i was an early riser. Stayed during hurricane and they had sandbags at the ready (not needed, but reassuring) Negative: ""

After driving 3 days to get here. I was exhausted. Called the office to ask for an extra hour to get my stuff together to leave, I was told b/c I checked in at 9pm I was not able to get an extension. The hotel is old, the showers dark where people stand & walls & corners pretty yucky, but I think it will look nice when it's finally finished.

Good service to put me in a room but could have done better cleaning the smoke smell out of it cause if they had checked my room like they had did me they would have known that it had smell like that before I got it and did not give me back my deposit for something that was not my fault but I want never come back here again until I feel that they do better other then that no other problems.

Absolutely a nightmare! Don’t be fooled by the affordable price! I was given a non-smoking room first and it reeked of smoke so badly I had to ask for another room. One of the mattress had what looked like a blood stain. Holes in the walls and both room had mold everywhere. Neither of the rooms were clean. I ended up sleeping in my car. I am very concerned this place got a 96 on their inspection.
