★Checking into this hotel felt less like a vacation and more like the opening scene of a horror movie. First red flag? The aroma. Imagine old gym socks marinated in expired soup—delightful!||Then we discovered the hotel’s unique take on "amenities." The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were pre-opened—apparently a gift from our room’s previous guests. Sharing is caring, right?||But wait, it gets better! A crusty mystery stain was proudly displayed on the bed frame like it was part of the decor. We played a game called "Guess That Bodily Fluid"—and lost.||The walls? Paper-thin. I now know more about the couple next door’s relationship than my own. Spoiler: they are not sleeping tonight.||Long story short: don't walk, run—preferably in the opposite direction. Unless you’re into haunted hygiene products, whisper-thin walls, and CSI-style bedding, this is not the place for you.

NillI recently stayed at Iris Garden Inn over the weekend. I was a little hesitant on booking due to the reviews. However, my husband and I had an exceptional experience. The staff was kind and went out of their way to get me an item that I needed for my room, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was basic but the mini waffles were amazing. However, the elevator hasn’t been serviced in 2 years. The walls are thin but not disturbing. The location was quite literally perfect for a Savannah trip!

NillWe made a last-minute decision to go to Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day. Most the hotels were booked. We found iris Garden Inn online it looked OK. Comments said recently remodeled and Price was decent. When we arrived, The front desk staff left a lot to be desired as far as attitude and customer service! The lobby looked nice very small however nice. We get in the elevator to go to our room, the elevator inspection expired in 2024. Which I believe is a safety hazard. We get off the elevator on the second floor and the hallway is very smelly, a moldy dirty smell. Not to mention some of the lights were out! We go to our room, which was just not at all like the photos. Before I list all that was wrong with the room, let me say the beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was hot and had good pressure! That’s about all the positive.. There was mold growing on the blinds which were broken by the way. The window seal looked like it had not been cleaned ever. There were stains all over the corners of the boxsprings of both beds. There was no plug in the bathroom sink. And there was mold growing on the bathroom sink as well as growing in the shower. The toilet paper holder was upside down which allowed the tissue to fall on the floor constantly. When we went to speak to the front staff about the shuttle service, she was very rude and said read the sign. Well that day we did take the shuttle service out the bus driver gets five stars that’s the only thing at this hotel that I would get five stars. The bus driver told us he would be going out Monday morning for Saint Patrick’s day at 8 AM. Sunday night we went to sign up for the shuttle service at 8 AM the gentleman behind the counter said there is no 8 AM tomorrow. We explained what the bus driver had told us. Instead of speaking he just grabs the schedule and starts pointing at the it And then politely walked away. We showed up in the lobby at 7:45 on Monday morning, and guess what the bus driver was there ready to go. The bus driver as I said was the only thing at this hotel that gets five stars! He was fabulous, a friendly personal and definitely the best asset that this hotel has. He deserves a raise from my understanding he is the maintenance man as well as a shuttle driver. They had more of him the place would be a lot better.! Spend the extra money and stay someplace else!

NillWe unfortunately did not read the most recent reviews when we booked this place and if we had we probably wouldn’t have booked our stay here. To start with the pros, the lobby looks wonderful, parking is easy/accessible, and the total drive to historic Savannah is about 10 minutes which makes it a super affordable option for a Savannah visit. Our largest complaints were the paper-thin walls, a blunt and unwelcoming receptionist upon check-in, and THE SHUTTLE NO LONGER RUNNING despite having it advertised on their website running to historic Savannah on the weekend.

NillWe stayed at the Iris Garden Inn for one night and it was disappointing. We've stayed in quite a few budget hotels and we've mostly been happy but not at this one. The room was stinking of smoke when we entered and the smell lingered throughout our visit. The lady at the counter was very disinterested and did not help us in answering our questions. The breakfast was good but had very limited options. Parking outside was good and there was lots of space. It is at a short driving distance from downtown Savannah.

NillI recently stayed at this hotel, and it was by far the worst experience I've ever had. First off the Elevator has been overdue on service for months. The room was not properly cleaned—there were hairs from previous guests in the bed and Even a weird stain and even worse, the shower had hair stuck to the walls. It was absolutely disgusting. To make matters worse, there was barely any toilet paper left in the room—about a quarter of a roll, The overall lack of cleanliness and attention to detail was shocking. I will never be returning to this place and would not recommend it to anyone.

NillI checked in on 12/26/2024, and my stay was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I arrived, the conditions were appalling. The bathroom was filthy, with a clogged shower drain, and the towels were stained with dirt and hair. After I requested new towels from the front desk, the replacement towels were just as dirty, which forced me to go out of pocket and purchase my own towels and comforter from Target. To make matters worse, the bathroom and bedroom both had a strong moldy smell. I wasn’t the only guest with this issue—my neighbor confirmed that their bathroom had mold as well. I tried to address this with the front desk staff, but they were rude, unhelpful, and didn’t offer any apologies or solutions. I attempted to speak with a manager, but the front desk claimed that no manager was available. When I returned the next day, I was told the same thing. On the last night of my stay, things took a dangerous turn. There was yelling and fighting in the rooms next to mine, making me feel extremely unsafe. Despite this, there was no immediate response or support from the staff. I finally got to speak to the manager on my last morning, but it was far too late to make any difference. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The lack of cleanliness, unhelpful staff, and overall unsafe environment made my stay incredibly stressful and disappointing. I ended up spending more money than expected because I had to buy my own essentials, and I felt utterly disregarded by the staff. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would advise potential guests to look elsewhere for a safer and more comfortable stay.

NillRoom was very basic, not a great location to downtown Savannah, and the the service was horrible. The front desk woman cared more about what was in her ipods than being helpful. Although the TV was new, it was in store demo mode and I told the front desk woman that and she told me to point the remote at the box...not helpful. Later when I asked for help again, told me she wished I would have said something since the maintenance worker just left. Mold on the the shower as well.
