★★★★Hotel is in a great location, staff was friendly. The room was a nice size and well appointed, bathroom was large, clean and well organized. The bed was super comfy. My only criticism is that this is a relatively new hotel and the flooring the room was visibly coming apart. They used vinyl wood plank flooring, many of the pieces had separated and you could see the underlayment of the floor. Whomever built this did a poor job. The open seams were prolific in the entire room and made the unit, which would have otherwise been awesome, feel cheap and not well maintained. ||I would stay in the hotel again, the location, vibe, and value it great...but building maintenance should be better.

★★★★Pros-More affordable hotel due to location which was great as you can walk to most activities downtown. A modern hotel. Has a cozy seating nook with mini round table. Nice shower head and flow, and quick start to warm water. Fails-sink drain needs tending to remove hair. I would never remove but the drain was lose and came out. Took an extensive amount of time to get hot water to flow from the sink. Sadly a waste of water. Most of us get spoiled by the shower pumps and expect them to be full. I'm in the shower and the shampoo was not coming out. It was below the pump and of course they are locked. So I had to use only the conditioner as I did not bring my own shampoo which I typically have if needed. Ugh never had this happen before. I informed the front desk at checkout as we only booked one night and she said they would have refilled it. How am I to do that if I'm soaked in the shower?

★★★★★Great location, great for using Marriott Bonvoy points. The staff were truly amazing! The valet, the front desk team, housekeeping and the bartender, all were attentive, smiling and friendly. Gave us great tips on things to do around the town. Definitely would go back again.

★★★★We stayed at Aloft from Thursday to Sunday, this past week. Our valet entrance was smooth as was check-in. Valet whisked our overpacked luggage upstairs to our room, and our move in could not have been simpler or more pleasant. Our room was spotless, with very comfortable bedding. We learned on our first walk to dinner that we could easily reach our reservations on foot.| By the way, weather sure accommodated since we wanted sweaters and jacket temperatures, away from Florida’s heat. We paired two tours on Friday: Grayline’s Old Savannah tour and the River Cruise on a stern wheeler. It’s a three and a half hour of tours that are enjoyable, and that give a ride to your hotel plus another day of free door to door shuttles. We found that a great benefit. | We ate at the Savannah Tequila Co., Wexford at Market Square, and Pizza from the renown Market Square Restaurant, Vinnie VIN Go Go’s. All three were excellent with appropriate menu options. | The Tequila restaurant, in the Marriott Bonvoy Hotel sits riverside. Wexford is an Irish Pub with music, afternoon and nights and both feature gluten free options.| In short, we felt very safe around the hotel, enjoyed the friendly front desk staff, morning coffee, but found the room decor an unusual choice.

★★★★★All of the staff are kind, considerate and helpful! We have stayed here several times with friends and we have always enjoyed it. Savanna has a lot to offer with history, museums art, and very good restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants is the fiddler.

NillThis is one of many Marriott owned hotel brands. Marriott typically means great service and amenities. I understand that with low end brands like Aloft you would get less amenities, but does that mean you also get worse service? Apparently the answer is yes. While there was no issue at check-in, we start off with the elevator not working, so we have to use the service elevator. (At least that was fixed by the next day.) The hallway smelled like pot and the room smelled of Clorox. Way too much Clorox was used. Once we get into our room, we find an oral thermometer was left behind (in plain sight) under a chair on the floor. The complimentary water bottle is not there. So while staff at least changed the bedding, they didn't do much more as the water wasn't restocked and they didn't even bother to clean the room trash on the floor. There's not much for breakfast but cookies, fruit, muffins, etc. that you have to pay for. No free breakfast here. In the historic district of Savannah, all hotel parking will cost you, some more than others. Here the valet is an additional $45/day for parking. When it came time to leave, we called down to valet and they said it would be ready in five minutes. After that, I got a luggage cart and piled all our luggage on the cart to go. After getting downstairs ten minutes after making the call to valet, I find that the vehicle was never moved and the valet attendant is just standing there doing nothing. What happened to Marriott standards? Marriott clearly doesn't care. If you are going to put your name all over properties like this one, you deserve to be ripped when you fail to meet your own standards.

NillThe hotel is not bad. There are better locations to stay at in the area. The rooms are small but clean and modern. There aren't any irons to use, but there is a steamer. The elevator was not working and that was terribly inconvenient. The hotel bar drinks are good, but overpriced. For what you're paying, it is reasonable.

NillDo not recommend this hotel. Stay at one of the historical inns or spend the extra money on at a different hotel. Rooms are designed for individuals only staying for a night or two. If you like to unpack and not live out of a suitcase, good luck. There are two tiny drawers and 4 hangers. There is not a dresser or any form of closet, only a coat rack. Room was not prepped for the amount of guests and was partially clean. There was hair all over the place and toiletries were not stocked. Talking to staff was like riding a roller coaster. A few staff members were professional and amicable while most were rude. Most staff members did not want to talk to guests and would give false statements or do whatever to get the guests to go away. Recommend eating breakfast on the town and do not use points for breakfast. Breakfast at Aloft is minimal and overpriced, but you can walk next door to the Fairfield Inn and spend $5 on a buffet (not great but more options with a better price point). If you are looking for a hotel that has a bar to relax and have a drink, this is not the place. Bar is open for 3-5 hours depending on guests and has little to no appeal to sit down for a drink.
