NillWe very much enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. The room was fairly spacious and the soaking tub was a worthy splash. We enjoyed the complimentary wine hour and the comfortable lounge. The gym was very well equipped, clean and pleasant to use. I loved the grand old building and didn't mind it meant a more unconventional lobby layout. The staff was very helpful and communicative when I lost an item in my room in helping me retrieve it 🙏 One thing. I wish there had been a good room-service option. It's just an amenity that takes things up a notch that seems to be lacking at many higher end hotels in the U.S.

NillConveniently located near the office district, this hotel offers a decent stay but shows its age. On-site dining options are limited, and the restaurant was closed for two out of the four days of my stay. The rooms are reasonably sized, but while every room technically offers a city view, mine faced an adjacent building just a few yards away.

NillI came for my birthday and it really added to my trip to Chicago! Rika was so kind and added a few surprises to make my stay amazing. The doormen were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location downtown is really in the middle of everything and heading to some other parts of the city are only about 15-20 mins away. My room was very nice and spacious! The bathtub combo is to die for. I was on the 3rd floor and had a great view. They have happy hour everyday from 5pm-6pm where you get a glass of wine! I will definitely be staying here the next time I'm in Chicago.

NillRooms were pretty spacious. Staff seemed disorganized and there was miss communication. I was earlier than check in and requested two rooms near each other on a high floor in a quiet area and the person at the desk told me two room numbers on the 10th floor I believe but they were ready yet so I’d have to come back and get the keys and officially check in. When I came back she wasn’t there and was told there was no rooms available on that floor and was given rooms on two different floors.

NillThe doorman is nice, helping me with the luggage. From that everything went downhill. Room design is weird, AC socket seems leaking electricity, lots of noise can be heard in the room. Front desk’s attitude couldn’t be less cold. Shower water’s pressure is weak. Lots to complain. The location is nice though, but I guess anywhere in loop/downtown is convenient as things isn’t really that far apart. This should feels like a luxury hotel but it’s not, should have save me some buck/points and stay at voco instead.

★★I stayed at Kimpton Gray for 4 nights for business. It's a decent hotel, except for the design of the bathroom, which is terrible. Detailed pros and cons below.||Pros:|1. Great location if you have business in the loop. In the middle of the loop business area. Not too far (15min walk) to the River and the River North, and Millenium Park area.|2. Hip design. Boutique hotel vibe. I love the design of Kimpton in general and stay at Kimpton very often, and this hotel is no exception - cool design.|3. Having Starbucks on the ground floor is convenient.|4. Nice staff.||Cons|1. The design of the shower room is terrible. Somehow the designer thought it is a great idea not to have anything that separate the shower room and the toilet, and there is nothing separates between them on the floor. As a result, whenever I used the shower, it was a flood on the floor of the toilet. I had to leave towels that block the water from the shower room all the time. This is so terrible. Whoever designed the bathroom should not do any design.|2. The bar was not open late. Not convenient.|3. The reception is on the 2nd floor. 1st floor is a bit confusing, without much sign or information.||At the end, I love Kimption, but I don't want to stay in a hotel with such a terrible shower room, especially for the (higher) price.

★★★★★We always stay at this hotel when we come to Chicago. It’s a beautiful building, but the people and the service is the best part! Emily and Andrew helped check us in and were extremely helpful. Edwin and Tim offered exceptional service and helped with our many bags, while Yolanda did an excellent job at making sure our room was nice and tidy. We love staying here!

★★★★★If you love Kimpton hotels, you'll love this property as it is in line with your high expectations. If you've never been, you'll love it even more. Front desk staff is wonderful. Hot chocolate in the afternoon, the coffee in the morning as a signature Kimpton very nice feature. Gorgeous building first and 2nd floor. Room very spacious, very nice bathroom, wonderful bed, etc.
