Absolutely loved the stay at this hotel! My boyfriend and I are very pleased with our choice & choosing this hotel. Gina was amazing & very friendly. She told us about the area and where to go! She’s a peach! & a really great feature was having a late-checkout time (this does come with a fee, but that’s to be expected). When we checked out, the front desk employees (forgot their names), asked my boyfriend and I if there was anything else they can do for us. The staff was absolutely amazing and took care of us. We will be back if we’re in Chicago again!

PROS: I only stayed one night, but I ddnt have issues with noise that particular night. Although this is a fairly older hotel, there were old fashioned heaters in the room, already set to its highest setting, and it was still cold. The bathroom was nice to look at. CONS: While, I think the place is over priced for what you get, I would definitely pay more to stay elsewhere the next time. There is something about the aesthetics of the whole entire place that’s unsettling. I do agree with the previous reviews, it doesn’t feel comfortable, especially not for a woman. Some thing about it is really sketchy, all down to the people. The curtains in the room were not long enough, the room looks clean, but I actually wasn’t. And the entire hotel did have a stench. That goes for the hallways, lobby as well as the room. Quiet at night, but the following morning, there was more than enough noise to check out super early. There were a lot of doors, slamming, you can hear your neighbors through the vent in the bathroom very clearly. You can hear people talking to the walls. Insulation is horrible. The weirdest thing about the whole situation is, they were playing slow, sexual music in the lobby. And I’m talking about the explicit guy for a while. I wouldn’t necessarily call them fighting music. ESPECIALLY when the staff is all male. All in all, I didn’t have any issues getting to sleep I came for, although the water didn’t get very hot. I got my deposit back within 24 hours so all in all, if you just need a place to stay for the night, go for it… but if your big on the cons, don’t.

Good hotel for the price. Pretty old and has clear signs of use, but clean and safe. Staff is very kind. Doesn’t have breakfast included, but there’s a nice coffee place inside the premises and plenty of restaurants around the corner. Comfy bed, cable TV, amenities such as soap and shampoo available in the room. One thing I missed is availability of outlets. Although some around the room, only 1 worked and that was a bit frustrating if you need to charge your phone and something else at the same time. The hotel is at a walkable distance to Millenium Park and to Blue Line’s Jackson station. Several bus lines around the hotel also. If you have light sleep, the train passes half a block from the hotel, so that might disturb you. There’s a parking lot in front of the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming hotel! The location is unbeatable, with easy access to public transportation, Grant Park, and top attractions. The staff truly made my experience exceptional - they were friendly, helpful, and always greeted me with a smile. My room was spacious and comfortable, and I appreciated the nostalgic charm of the 1930s building. While some interior updates would elevate the hotel to perfection, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming stay.

Stayed here for one night before attending a Bears game at Soldier Field. The room was nice, plenty of space and a decent bathroom, all were clean and had a nice view of the city. The beds were a bit soft and could use upgraded mattresses. The shower was cool to lukewarm at best, though it did warm up just a bit after about 10 minutes. Otherwise, the stay was great, we were within walking distance of the game and good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel overall is nice. It just needs some updates.

Perfect location for a great Chicago trip. Everything else was lacking... a lot. First red flag was the fact that we could see the ripped, burnt mattress from the doorway. Then add the wires, faulty TV, lack of hot water, and cheap jewelry from the last patrons. No one was able to provide or find proper sheets to cover this vile mattress, and the MOD badmouthed and blamed her staff, that was standing next to her. Luckily the next shift was able to help and moved us to a different room... after the first night stay with the mattress that the staff audibly gasped over when shown pictures. The new room was a bit cleaner and mattress wasn't a sad picture of neglect and sin.. still found make up from the last patrons in this room though. If you need a place to keep your bags while enjoying the city, this place is central to a lot and a great location. Other than that and Manager Leanne helping us when no one else would, this will not be a suggest stay the next time I am in the city.

The price was better than most at $70 but the building is so old that the radiator heating made the air bone dry. The us a Thai restaurant downstairs connected to the hotel which is convenient, as well as the numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, and other things within waking distance of the hotel. The twin room i had didn't have a fridge nor wifi which was horrible. The view was really nice. The pace was clean. The halls were creepy and there was a bit of noise from other guests and the staff because the sounds travel. It was a decent stay but could've been a bit lower priced. Service was chill.
