Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lansing IL

Sad because three years ago this was a very nice hotel. They won't let you check in until 3pm no exceptions. I walk into the room which looked ok at first and was decently clean. The tv didn't work so I requested a new room. 2 hours later they have a maintenance guy come by and switched the tv to one that worked but was all fuzzy and could barely see anything. It's literally roach infested I wanted to vomit. And the bathroom was nasty.

This place was great a few years ago. Now it's just gone down hill and fast! Most of the cleaning staff are rude and expect you to clean the room yourself. They have bedbugs which definitely made that my last stay there! The district manager is very helpful to his customers and goes out of his way to be helpful to those in need, David Kincaid is his name (great guy) But you risk catching bedbugs only to deal with a great manager uhm I'll pass

From out of state and the extended stay Rooms were sold out went across the way and booked a room here . 😑 Rooms outdated , spider webs in the corners , price too high for this room , had to shower with shoes on the tub looked very spotted and unclean, sink look remodeled only thing that was nice , bathroom door broke , tobacco residue found in the bed although I requested a non smoking room, sheets ripped , rough time sleeping with my spouse and new born for the fear that something would crawl up on us . No bed bugs or rodents visible. It's definitely a party hotel .

Only 2 towels. No wash cloths Old furniture, broken . Needs serious remodeling. Poor Customer service. The maid knocked on my door at 10am when check out is at 11. It has become a hotel for transients and strong smelling marijuana smokers. Also people banging on the door across the hall arguing with the occupants. This hotel has really gone down since they begin to offer weekly rates.

It wasnt terrible.... the room had a toilet, bed, clean sheets (though the comforter was covered in burn marks), and (most importantly) a functioning lock. The hotel was super sketchy though... the bathroom smelled of pot which was drifting out of the wall vent from a neighboring room. The bathtub was grimy and covered in cigarette burn marks. The room had one functioning outlet, and the TV didn't work... If you need a cheap place to sleep, it's functional, and the checkin counter person was nice; I just wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

Good hotel. It's not plush, but there's a refrigerator, microwave, and a pool. Costs $65 a day, $ 75 for 2 beds. Space is good and there's Continental breakfast in the morning. Numerous restaurants and businesses are nearby. It's clean as well.

The cleaning person doesn't clean when she is suppose to. If you ask the front desk for toilet paper and towels , they have a nasty attitude about it. I was not given any fresh towels in 3 days. I had no toilet paper and I was told at 4pm to come down to the front desk @7:30pm to get them. REALLY!! That breakfast is bull crap!! The place is a step up from being homeless!!

WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! It was run-down, dirty, gross, scary, and the advertising was completely false! No pool, no breakfast, zero amenities, disgustingly unsanitary room, unfriendly and unprofessional staff.. Just to name a few. My bed had cigarette burns in multiple places, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in years, the carpet was stained with spilt liquid and was just all around dirty, and the room itself had a combination of a cigarette and B.O. aroma. So much for "non-smoking" room. Long story short, this was a TERRIBLE hotel and this experience has subsequently ruined every other Howard Johnson from here on out. They have 100% lost my business!
