Sleep Inn near I-80 and I-94

I stayed here with my spouse. I am a veteran and was having a PTSD episode , my wife was trying to talk me out of my episode and the male knocked really hard, startling me more and rudely said if we did not keep it down he’d call the cops on us. It led us to leave the hotel at 12 am inconveniently to find another hotel because we were talking. No one was yelling we were simply talking in a normal tone. Please do NOT stay here.

The girl that checked me in was very nice, but the evening desk guy was a rude aggressive ass. I had my service dog with me as I was bringing the luggage cart to the elevator. He asked if he was on a leash and I responded no sir. He said he needed to be and I responded Ok. I arrived at the elevator and was waiting for it, and he kept staring at me. I asked, "What?" He said, "You don't seem to be moving to get that leash." In a very angry and aggressive tone. I told him I am on the 3rd floor and I am waiting for the elevator, kinda hard to hop too. He made a move towards me at that point like he was going to get into my face over this. He was very unprofessional about the whole thing. On top of that that bathroom had a bad B.O smell and the halls smelled like pot smoke.

Absolutely awful filthy disgusting place! We got very little sleep because of all the noise going on outside from transients wandering around. There was feces on the walls on the lampshade, and there was other bodily fluids all over the bed dressings. Absolutely disgusting. We demanded our money back for our stay, and we haven’t heard back from them at all stay away from this place as if it were the plague it stinks. It’s disgusting and only booked there because booking.com gave it high praises! Never again booking.com!

Upon arrival in room window was broken out, nasty dirty floors, plus the walls were scuffed up and dirty. Smelled of weed and occupants screaming down the hallway. The exterior was run down and dirty. The hotel is also not located in a safe area. Didn't even take time to check the beds, was grossed out before getting that fat!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. So many complaints. First off I booked this room and the booking site asked me for my card information. One would think they would charge the card. I called ahead of time to confirm booking. Over the phone they could've said "just to let you know we don't charge the card on file. It has to be a physical card with a chip." But they didn't. I'm one who normally uses tap pay so I don't carry cards. By the grace of God after driving 4 hrs to Chicago I had my card in the car when they told me this information. Ok but that was ok. I go into the elevator and it smells like old mop water. But that was ok as well. The hallway carpet looks like it's coming up, there's folds here and folds there. But that was still ok. I go in the room and go to cut on the light and I'm like ok. This not what I expected but it'll do. I go to cut the lamp on and dust start flying everywhere. Ok maybe they just forgot about the lamp. Not a big deal. I go to close the curtains and they were filthy. Like they are never washed. I go to get my daughter in the shower and u look up and the shower has dirt all on it. The bathroom smelt like someone had just took a dump in it. Then I go to change the bed sheets which is something I always do to every hotel bed and have never had a problem with. So my bf asked the front desk clerk if we could get a new bedding set. He gave us a sheet set and said that's it. So I asked for a blanket and he said they didn't have any, u mean in the entire hotel there's not one blanket. So I asked for another sheet because I wasn't gonna sleep under the blanket that was already in the room. He said he wasn't gone give me another sheet cuz he gave me one. I said but what about something to sleep under. I can't get a sheet? He said no. He said if u have any complaints I can tell management in the morning. I really think that's a dumb rule. If they give u one sheet u can't get another one especially if you not gone sleep under the blanket. My thoughts was if the room was dirty how can I trust you change the sheets after every guest. I wasn't even there for an hr before I left that hotel. To not be able to accommodate your guest is ridiculous. To not have clean blankets is crazy. The rooms in my opinion don't look like the pictures at all. This is the first time I have ever left a hotel the same night. I feel like for 115$ a night you would at least get a clean room. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. Someone I want to be inconvenienced and don't care if they have a good time or not.

Positive: The Room was updated and a nice Clean Stay. Negative: The hallway Carpets need to ve upgraded or replaced and the vending machine had all expired items in them

I only give the room a 3 star because it didn’t smell. It needs some caulking and a little upgrades to the bathroom but overall it was a decent stay. Now the hallways, were a whole different program. Carpet old and bolting up just makes no sense to not have been done the little work needed to make this hotel a real 3 star.
