Red Roof Inn Chicago - Lansing

I moved to lancing from Toledo Ohio with my family. Upon arrival, the place we was going to rent was rented out to someone else before we got here. While looking for hotels for the night, we found this hotel and the staff has been absolutely amazing. They are the reason we have been here for the last 2 months. Love this place and will recommend it to all

I checked out and left my diamond earring on the night table, when I realized this and called them they said nobody has rented the room and that ONLY HOUSEKEEPING had been into the room to clean it. The housekeeper lady said she found nothing, I went there to search the room thinking she could have wiped the table and knocked it onto the floor (very unlikely). We found nothing in the cleaned room. Basically the housekeeper is lying and the hotel will not take responsibility for their staffs criminal actions., I saw no roaches but that doesn’t mean they’re not there lol. No tv remote, no chair with the desk, it’s a room with a not too bad bad, minus any unknown bed bugs. $80 first night, discounted me to $65 for the second night (thank you). They don’t answer the office phone to ask about remote and chair. Not worth more than $39 a night, if they don’t steal your stuff, in my professional travel opinion:-).

If all you need is a place to lay your head for a few hours, they got you covered. Now the actual review, the walkway to the room on the second floor was a wooden mess of cut, cracked, and splintered handrails, the room smelled of pot smoke and looked like it was sloppily painted after some kind of damage. The wall light fixture at the head of one of the beds was barely hanging on and twisted. The AC took a couple hours to burn off the extra pot smell from it also. The sink was a mosaic of cracks and chips and the tiny unadjustable shower head leaked from the backside giving that great cold spray everyone wants in a hot shower. The bed was hard, but surprisingly comfortable. The pillows were soft and comfortable also.

I have been staying here with my family for about a month and we love it here. Everyone is so nice and professional, and the people that stay here are all respectful. Will recommend to everyone

The people that work in the office are completely amazing. Very accommodating, very understanding, pet friendly, and rooms are good. Sai is one of the guys that made me want to go back. Love this place

It has pretty cheap rooms and they allow pets to stay for free. They have good Wi-Fi as long as you're downstairs or near the office. And they have Smart TVs in every room.

PISSED! They still charged me even though we left and the rooms look and smell like complete trash so now I’m showing proof of my room and how it really looked best believe I couldn’t even sit in the bed we left so quick and I am disputing the charge with my bank. So we me and my husband needed a room due an electrical issue in my apt building was given 3 rooms and well all three Rooms was hideous the smell was something that I will never forget I felt like I was in jail! Bugs ,Food on walls and doors burns and stains on the blankets. ceilings leaking this place look like it should be in a movie it’s the slums basically and the pictures are a complete lie adding pictures on how it really look! I’m not sure how this place is not shut down and to top it off someone went in my room and opened every drawer looking for what ever they thought we left After going g to grab a bite to eat you have to see it to believe it!!! Crack heads drug dealers Straight out of hell and was denied my refund after complaining 15 mins later definitely reporting this place to BBB I won’t stop until this place is shut down

Loud location. Police there often. Room was decent with towels and soap. Water was hot. Front desk was kind of helpful. Cable tv. WiFi sucks
