Stayed at this hotel on a Wednesday with hubby and our kids. The hotel is in a good location, near plenty restaurants, the mall and its not too far off from the expressways. Thank God I brought pool noodles and water guns. They had a blast in the pool. It could’ve been cleaner, I saw hair floating in it at one point 😬 but overall the kids enjoyed themselves. I left them for a quick moment to grab the free drinks (2) included with our stay. Got margaritas, they were good. The bar area was pretty busy, it was around 6:30 when I went to get the drinks. But thankfully I was tended to quickly. Check in was quick and easy as I used the Hilton Honors app beforehand to check in. I like the digital key feature. We had a room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious. I like that it has a whole separate kickback area with a couch, table and tv. The WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough for hubby to connect his game system to the TV for us to watch movies but it is what it is. There was also hair in one of our bathroom towels 😳. My neck is sore from the pillows but we still slept well. Overall, I’d definitely come back again.

THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS HOTEL ARE INCREDIBLY RUDE!! I made a reservation for one night at this hotel the other day as me and two others were was passing through town and needed a place to stay. I am under 21 and am aware that some establishments require you to be 21 to make a reservation, but I booked here as I have stayed with Hilton numerous times with no issues after turning 18. Upon check in I was immediately met with trouble as a rude front desk worker attempted to turn me away from my reservation. After some push back I was able to check into my room, but was still faced with conflict. When we would go down to the lobby to retrieve our complimentary snacks or use the fitness center we were met with the same suspicious workers lingering around us, as if they were expecting us to act out of turn. The next morning, I noticed i had been charged an additional $50 at check in, which was never stated on my initial receipt when i booked online, so I inquired at the front desk and was once again talked down to and belittled, with the worker stating we were charged and additional “$50 security deposit” to ensure we didn’t make any damages to the room; which is something I had never heard of a hotel doing before. Throughout the entire interaction I could tell that the employees were trying to completely dismiss me and my concern as stupid, childish, and invalid, as if an additional, secret charge on my charge on my card isn’t a valid concern/question. Despite being nothing but respectful to the atmosphere of the hotel and cleanliness of the room like every other guest, we cannot even leave our room without being watched by employees. Throughout my entire stay, which has been less than 24 hours total mind you, I have felt like we have had a target on our backs simply for not fitting the typical guest population. We have given the staff absolutely no reason for concern or issue, so the disrespect we have been treated with is completely insulting and uncalled for. We are paying customers just as every other guest is, so our poor treatment can only be a reflection of the abysmal staff and customer service at this establishment. I have never felt more unwelcome to be staying somewhere I am paying to be. I will NEVER be returning to this hotel, and would advise anyone looking to stay here to do the same. If you are in need of a simple, convenient, and quiet place to stay in the Lombard/Oak Brook area, this hotel is the absolute LAST place you should consider. The level of disrespect towards paying customers is appalling.

I am normally very pleased with my stay at Embassy Suites properties. I find the extras at this price point to be a great bonus. Free drinks and snacks at the evening reception and the cooked to order breakfast in the morning, just add to the value. The hotel being an all suite hotel means there will be space for me and my family. This trip however was disappointing. When I got to my room, the first thing I noticed was the stale smell in the air. I turned on the air conditioning to try to get the air circulating, but that didn’t help. The furniture I the room was dates and worn looking. The tile in the shower was chipped and dingy looking. I was only staying for one night and I’d already had a long night of travel, so I just let that be. The next morning, I go downstairs for the breakfast. Instead of the usual egg station I’ve come to expect at Embassy Suites, there is an employee dishing out food from chafing dishes onto styrofoam plates. There were four options available. You could get precooked scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, French toast and turkey sausage. I was really forward to an omelette that morning. This was quite disappointing. I tried eating everything but the eggs, but they did not taste good. The food wasn’t hot. Just a sad breakfast. The signage at the hotel all referenced cooked to order bread fast including the ticket I had to give the employee in exchange for the plate of food. I’m not sure why that wasn’t provided. just went back to my room so I could check out planning to grab something on the road. On a positive note, the staff members I did interact with were friendly. I’m sure the issues I had during my stay were beyond their control. During my trip, I was able to stay at another Hilton property and a Hyatt property. Both were miles above this experience. I will no longer be prioritizing Embassy Suites in my hotel searches.

They're A Few Opportunities For The Property In My Opinion. I Enjoyed My Stay First Of All..But Area Of Opportunity Was Garbage In The Parking Lot Upon Which You Are Charged $12.50 Per Day To Use....The Hotel Itself Had Good Bones But The Furniture Needs To Be Updated And Quickly For A Hotel In This Area... Lastly I Wanted To Utilize The Indoor Pool Area But Sadly The Ants Had Taken Over Before I Got There...Coming From Around A Garbage 🗑️ Can Nearby To Having Reached The Area Of The Pool Where The Ladder Is Located...Also There Was A Film In The Water That Left A Not So Good Look To Me So I Never Used The Pool Or The Hot Tub But I Did Let The Front Desk Know. Hope This Helps Make Your Future Guests Stay More Welcoming. I Also Would Like To Add That The Area Underneath The Windows Needs A Deep Cleaning (Standing On The Second Floor You Can Clearly See The Garbage And Debris That Has Landed There)As Well As The Elevators. Please Pay More Attention To Detail.

Overall this place is overpriced for what is offered- I spent $444 for two nights and it was the biggest waste of money. The couch in our room was as hard as a rock, the bathroom door handle came completely off within a minute of us being in the room. The biggest issue though is the staff- they seemed eager to speak and help you if you weren’t white I am just going to say it bluntly. The food wasn’t that great either in the morning for the amount of money it costs to stay there (and pay for parking). Another huge issue is they allow families staying there (in large groups) to just take over public areas. One of the main reasons we booked was because of the pool/hot tub, and we were not allowed to use it because a family party of around 20+ people took the pool over and not in a polite way either. If your establishment has that many people in one party staying there, they should be offered a reserved time of maybe 2-4 hours for a fee to use the pool privately. It’s not fair to any other guests staying there to not be able to use the amenities. Overall it was a big waste of money, and I would not recommend. It’s a real shame I expected a lot more from this hotel, my family and I have lived in the area for many many years and watching these businesses move further away from pleasing guests but raising prices is unfortunate. This used to be a hotel people ranted and raved about. The remodel looks beautiful on the main floor, but the rest of the place and attitudes of employees have certainly changed. We will not be returning ever again, hopefully this doesn’t fall on deaf ears, because our stay was terrible and a complete waste of money. Which nobody in this economy likes to their money flushed down the toilet.

Positive: Breakfast and appeal of the lobby and main areas. Also, loved the door between our suite and bedroom, made it very easy for the baby to nap while our old child played. Negative: Pool towels are small. Would recommend bringing your own.

Basically, I had no complaints. The rooms were nice. The breakfast service was good. The custom omelets were fantastic, and the social hour was good. Never tried the restaurant/bar because there were too many other options outside the hotel.
