SureStay Plus by Best Western Chicago Lombard

I was a little worried about booking this hotel because I never heard of it. The good. Price was right, nice breakfast selection in the morning, friendly staff. The negatives. Room small with scuffed up furniture. Bathroom is nice though. Mattress was lumpy. Eggs served in the morning were dry, overcooked. Overall I’d stay again. Good location and felt safe while we were there.

They are in the process of remodeling the rooms. How kind of them to place us in a room surrounded by rooms they were renovating!! Woke up to voices in the hall, followed by drilling and hammering. Paint chipping off the wall in our room from the hammering. Followed shortly by a request to leave our room so they could hang new blinds. This as we were getting showered and dressed. When I explained that, I was told it would only take 15 minutes!! And I should stand in the hallway during that time in my robe?? And the satellite TV wasn't working the first couple of days. When we asked for compensation through Best Western, we were denied any compensation whatsoever by hotel manager. Even the Best Western representative was surprised. Hospitality? I don't think the manager Randy has that word in his vocabulary. We visit this area often and will no longer patronize this business. Stay away!!

I chose to celebrate my birthday weekend at SureStay Plus by Best Western Chicago Lombard in search of peace and quiet, and I stumbled upon a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the well-maintained lobby and the exceptional service provided by the front desk staff. Despite the slightly outdated rooms, I found them to be comfortable and inviting, making me feel right at home. The gym area was also a pleasant surprise, adding to the overall positive experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning in the near future. The tranquility and serenity of the hotel perfectly suited my preferences, making it a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Quiet, clean hotel. Patrick at the front desk is a great host. Only downfall was room smelled a little smoky. I smoke so it didn’t bother me too much. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I will definitely be back!

During our stay there was construction going on in the adjoining rooms. We woke up on our 4th morning there to drilling and hammering going on right next door. Paint was falling off the wall in our room. We had no warning ahead of time. On top of that, shortly after the noise started, the manager and one of the housekeepers showed up at our door and wanted to come in and install new blinds. We were in the middle of getting ready to go out at that point. They wanted to come in right then and there, saying it would only take 15 minutes! The manager, Randy, was not apologetic at all. I asked him why he would place us in a room surrounded by rooms being remodeled. He said he had no choice because the hotel was sold out. We know for a fact that wasn't true, as we had spoken with other people staying there who were coming and going. When we checked in, there was even a gentleman waiting for his reservation he had JUST made to come through the system. I hate being lied to. The manager refused any type of compensation for the disturbance. We visit this area often and will never set foot in this place as long as this manager is there. Stay away!

The rooms are always clean! The night staff I’ve met so far (Ken & Patrick I believe they are) have been so nice & have helped when needed. I am a travel healthcare worker & my stay so far has been pleasant! Along with the area being very nice! Safety hasn’t been a concern which makes it more of a plus!

The customer service the first night was great from Patrick. The room was a little outdated and looked like it had been renovated a little. Overall it was clean and quiet. The breakfast is not great. You can choose from bread, bagels, eggs, yogurt, pancakes and waffles. There are a lot of standard choices but the eggs were very dry both mornings. I would still stay here again.

Even though it was confirmed when reserved that dogs are ok, I was told at check in that they are not. Was charged an additional $50 and told I couldn’t walk her through the lobby. Nice rooms, but a but furniture is a bit worn. No microwave, no movie channels and Direct TV menu you have to watch the guide scroll to find something to watch. Main light and bathroom light on a sensored switch that times out. Light in bathroom comes in whether you want it or not so squint if entering in the dark. Shower curtain rod is sagging and curtain settles in the center thus allowing water to splash out at either end.
