This hotel was a mixed bag for me. The room was very clean and the price was very reasonable at $100 a night. We stayed here just for one night because we had an early flight out of the Rockford airport. The disappointment for me was the free breakfast in the morning? Normally Hampton Inn has a really good breakfast, the breakfast this morning was very basic. They usually have something hot. They didn’t this day. They basically had oatmeal and cereal and some steel muffins. The fruit juice machine was broken and the really the only thing working was water.. the other thing I would point out website advertises that it is only 6 miles away from the airport. The truth is it is about 13 miles and 20 minute drive to the airport. The staff was nice. The room was clean and it was a reasonable price for a one night day, but it is not the normal Hampton Inn experience.

A fantastic stay with a wonderful and pleasant staff. Don't get me wrong, this place is not the Ritz, but as far as affordable hotels, it's good in my book! The only real issue we had, was the pool was closed. Their website did warn of an upcoming pool closure, but that was not in the time frame we booked.

Just ok. Room was clean and the bed was good, but this property is a bit tired looking: pool closed, worn chairs in dining area, broken light covers in hallway, thin towels. Several of the somewhat standard TV channels are not included, "weak or scrambled channel" (History, AMC, etc.). It seems that management is cheaping out. Nothing was particularly bad, but it wasn't at the standard I expect for a Hampton Inn.

Naylei was the one who checked us in felt like during the process of me seeing if they had a room available and mentioning I had kids with me she could have mentioned the fact the pool was not in operation. Explained to her multiple times I needed a room big enough for me and 3 kids and if they didn't have one it was fine. She gets us a room with 2 beds okay sure not a problem as long as it had a couch as they didn't provide cots. Walk to the room and it was TINY NO POOL NO NOTHING KID FRIENDLY. THE ROOM SMELLED. kindly went down and told her that I thought the pool thing she maybe mention ahead of time especially to families with kids and that she didn't listen to any of my request needs for making this stay good for me and my family during this stay. Not so much her fault directly but where is the customer communication I felt like I was not heard or listened too. Asked for a refund...... let's see if I get it.

I stayed in Hampton in Rockford, Illinois December 29, 30, and 31st. I was bitten by bedbugs and the Hotel has refused to acknowledge it. I ontacted them immediately after I suspected it. I don't have bedbugs at home and I was okay until I stayed there for 3 days. I was unlucky enough to get a filthy room with bugs and a nasty shower, you would think as a Silver Member I would have received better service. Initially we thought it was scabies which would have come from mites, so the manager told me that dogs were only allowed on the first floor, and I was on the second floor. But that was a lie because I've stayed in Hampton Inns for years and dogs are on every floor. I went to the hospital, I have photos of bugs in my room and the fact that the room was dirty when I hot there. I also have pictures of my injuries and they have completely ignored me. So much for member perks, not even an apology.

A lot of the other recent reviews are way too critical given how low they rated. This is an older property and definitely has some things to work on to get back in line with the brand but wasn't the worst Hampton Inn I've been at, by far. -staff was excellent on interactions, no issues and very friendly - thermostat was locked at 68 degrees which is a bit too warm when it is 20 outside - shower had trouble draining - shower curtain was too small, they need to purchase one that sits more than 1 inch below the height of the tub - back door scan card lock was broken causing me to walk around the entire hotel to get in; front desk should warn guests when they check-in - they do have digital check-in/ out but no digital keys - bed sheets did have minor stains - towels are old and need replacing - no microwave in room as advertised for the room I requested - no parking fees (response to another review which said they charge for parking in 12 hour installments - simply isn't true) - I didn't hear airport sounds but did hear a lot of traffic outside of my window, possibly because I go to sleep early and start my days at 3am - close to everything in Rockford, pretty much

We have stayed at 8 Hamptons in last 2 weeks and this was by far the most out dated and run down. Rooms are the old key cards, bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo etc were either totally empty or near empty) air conditioning unit was super loud all night, beds were comfortable, the security lock on the door was broken off the door and hanging there. The chairs in lobby/breakfast area are all worn, breakfast was sparse compared to others. There was no fruit, only plain waffles and I had to wait for the last of it to drip out to make one. Pool was apparently closed for fixing. Staff were friendly but very poorly managed and not Hilton quality you would expect. Almost like they are going out of business.
