Everything was Excellent. Room was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. We usually wake up couple of time but here we slept like baby. Hot Tub and pool were ultimate. Everything is clean and best place among over entire trip. We will be back definitely. Front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Price was very reasonable with the Remodeled Room and Property. Entire kitchen area, lobby and hallway also new. I never rated any hotel for 5 STAR before and Americinn in Ames deserve more than 5 STAR.

Everything was nice and clean. But other descriptors that come to mind are small, cold, and spartan. Breakfast options are minimal, and the lobby/breakfast area is FRIGID. The bath towels are only slightly larger than pool towels and are well worn. Our room with two queen beds had three towels and one wash cloth (we stayed with our two children). When I called the front desk to ask for more, the man was short and somewhat rude. He said I was welcome to come down and get what I needed but he himself was too busy to tend to it. When we went to the front desk, he could only offer us two additional wash cloths, as he claimed they had no more. The room itself was adequate, but small - I wouldn’t recommend a stay longer than one night or one during which you’d spend much time in the room. There is also very little sound proofing, so you can hear everything from the hallway and surrounding rooms. **just editing to lower the star rating by one due to the repeated phone calls and messages my husband has received from management about this review

Room is remodeled completely. Entire property is new and modern with new refresh lobby, hallway and rooms. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Hot breakfast with lots of choices. Hot tub is new and biggest in Town with best swimming pool. We will stay again definitely.

Great Owners and Pool Access! I had an amazing experience at this hotel. One of the standout features is the pool and hot tub. The pool area was clean and well-maintained. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere, friendly hosts and a fantastic pool this is definitely the place to be!

I have stayed here quite a few times for sporting events at ISU. Quick roads to stadium and Hilton. The rooms have been remodeled and are quite nice. Hot tub is great for relaxing and having breakfast with hot options (scrambled eggs, biscuits gravy, make your waffle) is perfect. Staff is friendly and works hard to fix any issues immediately.

Very affordable rooms. I think we are staying in an older room since I heard they're remodeling right now. Our toilet must be ancient since it sucks at properly flushing. The room was partially clean, there was trash and a soda can under and behind some of the furniture. The staff is extremely friendly and at least tried helping us out with our toilet problem (unsuccessfully unfortunately). I like that it's next to a really good breakfast place and near a good gas station. It's easy to get to most parts of town from this location and right off the highway. The ac and heat work great which is important for those chilly winter nights. I didn't eat any of the breakfast but I imagine it's pretty standard hotel hot breakfast. Overall, a decent 3 star hotel. Not great, but not bad either

This is the best. The rooms are perfect with new floors. The lobby has been remodeled and is perfect. And the new carpet is beautiful. In addition, they are so helpful and cater to the customers.i love the pool and hot tub too.staff is so friendly and helpful!

When traveling for work, hotels can be hit or miss. This location however, stands out from the rest! Every single time I'm in Ames there's no question where I'm going to stay. I look forward to seeing Shaym at the front desk every time I arrive and am always greeted with the friendliest smile. Rooms are being renovated, and are almost indistinguishable from a brand new hotel. Fresh smells all around and brand new carpet in several rooms! The breakfast is exactly what you would expect, and has never disappointed me. I would highly recommend this location to anyone staying even remotely in the area!
