NillWhat a fantastic hotel! The staff is so helpful and friendly. Everyone is so eager to help and wanting to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The breakfast is awesome and always stocked. The pool area is great! They have an adults only time which is a plus! Everything is so clean and well kept up! I cannot say enough about this hotel.

★★First stop on Lakes roadtrip. Great location with outlook to the Lift Bridge and Duluth pier with dramatic sunset views. Close to south Duluth facilities and lake walk. Good locational base to explore north shore and to enable visit to split rock. However, our experience was the hotel was sold as more than it is and reviews are generally flattering compared to our experience. Very much a motel on the road with very standard motel room accommodation and very much sort yourself beyond checkin. The breakfast was particularly poor self serve and very processed food offering.

NillWe were in Duluth for a wedding and stayed at Lift Bridge Lodge for 3 nights in an accessible king suite. Check in was simple with a text message the day before. Our keys were ready on arrival with lovely front desk staff. All of the staff at this hotel were wonderful. The location and views at Lift Bridge Lodge are fantastic - walking distance to many restaurants and things to do and the lake walk is literally a step out the door. The room was comfortable and clean. It was also really aesthetically nice. it wasn't the greatest for getting around in my wheelchair tho. I'm lucky that I have a very narrow chair as the spacing were very very tight. Even with a 14" seat, I could not get my chair next to the bed on either side so had to park near the end at night which makes it complicated to get in and out of bed. Rolling between the bed and TV was also incredibly narrow. The sink was very high and set back too far so i could not reach it easily. The bed was very comfortable and so was the couch. Breakfast was delicious. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, muffins and more. Be aware if you're in a wheelchair that this probably isn't the best option unless you're in a very narrow chair and very independent or have a lot of help. Other than that criticism, We had a great time and would stay again.

★★★★★Headed to Duluth to watch the boats go under the bridge (YouTube kept sending me videos!). Was very happy with the town and especially with our choice to stay at the Lift Bridge Lodge. It it the closest building to the bridge so only a few minute walk to see the boats pass by. We had a 2nd floor room facing the water and it was perfect. The room itself was large with a couch and chair positioned next to the large (openable) windows. The public areas were very well kept and they had decorations for Fall/Halloween everywhere. Excellent coffee available throughout the day and the morning breakfast buffet was standard fare, but good. |The canal park area is really nice, plenty of bars and dining options. We went to the Vikre distillery and had a few cocktails that were different, but very good. |All in all, we were thrilled with our stay and would recommend you add Duluth to you list of destinations.

NillVery clean rooms. We loved the L shaped sofa and foot stools. Front desk personnel were very accommodating. The bed was like an oasis. I had a great nights sleep and woke up without pain in my neck. The pillows are so amazing. I even asked the front desk if they happened to sell them and much to my surprise they did!!! Excited to bring my pillow home!!! My only minor complaint is that we could hear the room above us walking around their room and rolling their suitcases around. We recommend replacing the hard surface flooring in the entryway of the room with carpeting or other soft surface flooring.

NillOur second time staying at lift bridge Lodge, the pool was very clean! The rooms are always spacious and clean. I look forward to the breakfast, there are so many different options. I love being able to sit on the deck connected to the room.

NillWe loved our stay. The room was clean and we had an excellent view. There was a shuttle to Bentleyville which is nice. The breakfast was great and the staff worked hard to keep it filled. It was a nice quick stay.

★★★★All-in-all, a very nice place to stay. We've visited the Lift Bridge a couple of times and found the property is well maintained, and the front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. The lakeside rooms feature a great view of Lake Superior and shipping activity, and the location is a short walk from some good places to eat.||A couple of small things-- the rooms have a Kuerig-like coffee maker, so an acceptable cup of coffee should be possible. However, what comes out of their machines is a very bad approximation of coffee. Ugh! Either the type of pods used or the machines need to be upgraded. Next stay we'll be bringing some instant coffee. ||The other concern was the in-room TV. We wanted to watch a football game while we were there, and the picture was really "fuzzy". I'm not sure if it was an old, non-hi-def TV or if there was an issue with the provider. Whatever the case, it was hard to watch the game.
