I recently had the opportunity to stay at the DoubleTree hotel while visiting Billings. I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel, as well as its cleanliness. The staff I encountered were also very pleasant and provided excellent service. In particular, I was pleased with how quickly and efficiently the staff accommodated my last-minute booking request. Their professionalism and courtesy made a significant difference to my overall experience. The hotel also has a coffee shop on site, which I did have a chance to visit and found to be convenient and pleasant. Although I did not have the opportunity to explore the other facilities available within the hotel, I would definitely recommend the DoubleTree to others based on my stay.

Perfect place to stay in Billings. The historic building has been beautifully restored while retaining a lot of character. There was a hiccup with my room and the staff went out of their way to make me feel taken care of. The three restaurants on sight and coffee shop are good and convenient. Excellent overall facilities.

Recently stayed at this hotel (first time), and have to say the view of Billings (16th floor) was incredible! Also the hotel restaurant (1st floor) was pretty good (for a hotel restaurant). However, I experienced multiple problems with this hotel. MOST concerning was that the shower ran out of HOT water after only TWO minutes. I was just going to bed, so it was too late at night to call maintenance (or to dry-off, redress, re-pack my belongings, and go down to the front desk to try to switch rooms). Also had a problem going from the Sky restaurant (near top floor) back to my room on a lower floor (elevator required my digital room key which stopped working). Had to go all the way down to the front desk to get a physical key. After checking out, the parking garage gate would not read my parking ticket (validated by the hotel). After about (5) minutes or so, it finally let me out (probably programmed to open the gate after numerous failed attempts). When checking out, the Front Desk asked me about my stay. She said she was "sorry" about the NO hot water and said the hotel was doing some maintenance. (In fairness, she didn't know about the other problems). She seemed sincere, but that's not enough to make amends. I doubt I will ever stay again at this hotel. By the way, I'm a Hilton Diamond member so this hotel definitely ranks near the bottom of all my numerous stays at Hilton hotels. Finally, I usually don't read responses. The hotel will appreciate and learn from this feedback, or they won't.

Overall, I think the hotel meets the expectations of a doubletree. It wasn’t a nightmare but it’s definitely a budget experience. ||Front desk: Friendly, accommodating. |Lobby bar: Staff - friendly, accommodating. Selection - pretty good. I’m a bourbon drinker and found them to have a better selection than most of the downtown bars. |Coffee shop: Staff - friendly, accommodating. Food - really couldn’t eat anything. Which was disappointing because they prep a lot of it there. Coffee is ok if you dump a bunch of sugar in it. |Restaurant on the 20th floor: Staff - friendly, accommodating, slow. Drinks - don’t bother unless it all you want is for them to pour it into a glass.||Rooms:|- size: average|- bathroom - aged, needs an update. Toilet doesn’t flush, shower head is from the 70’s or 80’s I think. |- decor - well I don’t really care|- cleanliness - I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. |- sound - paper thin walls and windows. Pray for an empty room next door and a high floor which only dulls the street noise. Bring earplugs and sleeping pills||Wi-Fi - use your hotspot

Maid service was non existent. On the third day, I went to the front desk to ask for towels and request maid service, the staff handed me towels however the maid never came to the room. On the fourth day still no maid service, we called for more towels. We check as scheduled after the fifth night with not once having maid service. Also we had a 9' tall vehicle and could not use the parking structure. unfortunately we could not use the hotel parking lot either since the hotel rented the parking lot lot for three days of our stay to an event. We had to park on the street and risk meter parking tickets. luckily, because of the holiday shopping, the city was not focused on the meter parking. It was stressful to stay at this hotel! I will say the staff at the restaurant on the 20th floor was the best part of the experience.

Booked the bridal suite about two months in advance of our stay. We asked to check in a little early at 2:30. Front desk told us housekeeping was cleaning the room and it would be ready at 3:00 at the latest. We went back up at 3:00, and were told that housekeeping forgot about it and it would be another 30 minute wait. Check-in is at 3! This room was booked well in advance, there should have been zero reason that we couldn't get in on time. My wife needed to be in the room to get ready for a formal event we had at 5:00 pm, so they "upgraded" us to the presidential suite. We got to the room to find it was ill-prepared for guests to be in there that night. Plus, there isn't an upgrade from the bridal suite. That's the room I wanted for my wife and I that night. I also received no recognition as a Diamond member. This hotel doesn't care about Hilton members, and robbed my wife and I of our experience we were very much looking forward to. It didn't matter if I was a Diamond member or just someone off the street. It's an event like this that makes me question loyalty to Hilton, and wonder if I should go with better hotel brands in the future, because this was unacceptable business practice.

My husband and I recently chose to stay at this hotel for four nights due to its close proximity to where we were working. When we checked in, I read that our room would be cleaned daily. However, late on the second day when we arrived at the hotel from working, our room had not been cleaned. No big deal-but we were out of towels and washcloths. (This particular room only had two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths. Not sufficient for two days of two people showering. Most women I know use two bath towels for themselves-one for their body and one for their head) I called the front desk that night and asked for a couple more towels and washcloths. I was told that housekeeping would bring some right up to us. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and I was stuck drying off with a hand towel from my shower. The next morning (day three) my husband visited with the front desk manager about our experience. The manager handed my husband a stack of towels and told him that he would ensure our room would be cleaned that day. We left for work and when we arrived in our room that night, it was evident that housekeeping did not visit our room. My husband made a second visit to the manager at the front desk. Again, repeat. Housekeeping promised. Housekeeping failed. The next manager offered (and my husband accepted) a discount for the complete lack of housekeeping, which was a nice gesture. However, I have never stayed at a hotel that doesn't offer housekeeping at least every other day or by request. This hotel shouldn't advertise daily housekeeping. In addition, if you're going to require your guests stay four nights without any housekeeping, perhaps provide more than two towels? Maybe even a garbage bag so we can haul out our trash?

Hotel is great. |Terrible restaurant. Restaurant at hotel is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Don’t even bother. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks, an hour to even get our order in. Hour and 45 to get our food. No additional bread. Had to ask for water. Zero refills. We ended up going downstairs to the bar for drinks because it was faster. If you ordered an app it came out AFTER your dinner. It was a joke and for the price it was literally insulting.
