Holiday Inn Lincoln Southwest by IHG

This location is great! By lots of places to eat and an outdoor mall is nearby! Pool was great for the kids and free breakfast was great too. It was a normal breakfast with fruit, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, as well as eggs, potatoes, French toast sticks and sausage. The hotel is being renovated so some of the rooms and hallways are still older. Still had a good night's sleep.

The people at the front desk were very helpful and polite. The room was clean and the shampoo and conditioner as well as bodybwas and lotion were full size which is extremely nice and they were full! However, the room is was in it sounded like a waterfall in the walls day and night. Which wouldn't have been a big deal had my husband not had work.

The beds were so comfortable, the room was very clean & the staff let my cousins & I sit in the lobby & visit. Staff very friendly. The only problem we had was the thermostat didn't stay where we put it, but might have been doing it wrong.

This hotel was pretty disappointing. It scores poorly on cleanliness and condition. Beds were not great. Pillows were good. The resturant is really only a makeshift bar. The breakfast is just ordinary hotel breakfast set up on cheap folding tables like a last minute thought. Booking online it gave options to include breakfast but dont get fooled, the only breakfast is the free hotel breakfast that is included anyway so dont pay extra to include breakfast. Furniture is beat up throughout the hotel. Hallway was missing sections of wallpaper. I couldn't tell if it was just ripped off or in midst of repair. I felt somewhat not safe as the door lock did not securely lock. To the point i placed a cooler in front of the door just as extra notice if someone tried to get in. And there were several hotel guests that I did not feel comfortable letting my 17yr old alone going to the car or to the room. The location is great really, with good restaurants and shopping closeby. In a pinch it works but It's definitely not my first choice.

The property is basically fine, but is in need of some work - some of which would not be overly expensive to do. Like the grime near the bottom of the bathroom door, the mildew in the corners of the shower and stains in the toilet bowl could be solved with a good scrubbing with bleach. The carpeting in the halls and lobby look really old - perhaps a deep shampooing would help, new carpet would make it feel much fresher. Some of the furniture in both the room and common areas have chips or tears in the upholstery - repairing or replacing these would help a lot. There was a floor lamp in my room that was clearly broken or loose from the base, and the TV was very dated. Also...not a single USB port anywhere in the room, and the AC outlets on the bedside lamps cannot accommodate an Apple computer charger. On the brighter side, the layout of the room is good, the bed decent. The light bulbs were very nice - seems like a small thing, but warm lighting makes such a difference - I've stayed in hotels (including IHG hotels) that had cold, dreadful lighting, and it looked like someone was replacing lightbulbs when I was there - I hope any bulb replacement project keeps this in mind. The breakfast was good, the staff was pleasant and the gym in very good condition. And though I didn't use it, the pool looked clean and nice.

The location of this hotel was great for our visit. When checking in, the front desk informed me of a discount I could have received but wasn't offered because of the sweatshirt I was wearing (where I work). During our stay, we used a banquet room for a birthday gathering. There were two workers in there at the same time cleaning and vacuuming while there were still parents in this room. It was off-putting and rude.

The towels are stiff and scratchy Breakfast was not good. Poor quality food and some was not thoroughly cooked The hotel bar was pathetic. Lots of items out of stock and very little choice of drinks The water was lukewarm for showers The bathroom door won’t stay open The body soap shampoo and conditioner were watered down The room temperature varied greatly and had a hard time keeping a comfortable temperature The desk area in the lobby overhead light was blinking the entire stay and never fixed Hotel is not well maintained The cost did not match the maintenance and quality of the hotel

This hotel is in desperate need of renovations. The exterior of the hotel doesn't look bad. But walk inside and that's where things are bad. Everything seems to be worn out or breaking down. Peeling and rippled wallpaper everywhere. Old sheets and bedding. Torn curtains. Lack of thorough cleaning in rooms and public areas. No ice in the icemaker. Odd smell in our room. Pieces of black lint or fuzz on the white comforter (we called the front desk about this and were told it was likely from the air conditioning unit blowing out dirt onto the bedding). In short, it clearly seems that the owner of this property has persistently failed to update the hotel. I would highly recommend looking for a different hotel.
