Staybridge Suites Rochester University by IHG

I like to stay at this hotel. It is very close to the University of Rochester, nice location to take a walk, dog friendly, clean and simple. Feels like home away from home. Kitchen is very clean and well stocked, although with good breakfast I did not use it more that just to make tea. Affordable prices at the bar. Nice outdoor patio where people can relax around the fire pit.

Friendly & pleasant staff, super accommodating & helpful. The rooms are beautifully organized and clean. Great views. Always hot coffee in the lobby. Beautiful lobby and plenty of room to sit and enjoy breakfast in the mornings. The breakfast is excellent and delicious. There are lots of options for everyone's taste! Free wifi, strong service. Laundry available thru the fitness center, and the machines are FREE. Luggage carts are available and plenty of room to pull up and bring your things inside. I highly recommend staying at this location when you're in the area of Rochester, New York.

First time staying here while visiting my daughter for Meliora Weekend. I was really impressed. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the UR campus. I had a King suite which was very spacious. My room was immaculately clean. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious with fresh fruits, breakfast meats, eggs, waffles etc. Sunday they had quiche which was really good. If you are coming for a special event - book in advance - the hotel sells out fast. Definitely would stay here again. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and this was the best decision for our lodging! We had a short walk to the athletic venue and the hotel was very convenient to other activities we wanted to do. Clean and spacious facility with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

We arrived in the middle of the night, but staff was friendly. The room was comfortable with plenty of seating and sleeping options. The bathroom was adequate. My only issue was how slippery the bathtub was, but I have a foot issue. This may not be an issue for you. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The communal breakfast area was enhanced with the outdoor seating which overlooked the river. Overall, a great stay.

The bar that was advertised was not open per the hours in the elevator. There was no ice machine. The hotel was hard to locate due to the road construction going on. There was a breakfast buffet and the worker was friendly and accommodating however the set up was awkwardly laid out in different sections and not everything needed was near each item.

Great location. Nice hotel. Too bad the door locks wouldn’t work with my keys. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly, she was busy and tried to help us much as she could with the door lock issue. Some maintenance help for her would have been nice.

Great experience during my stay! The room was spacious and had everything I needed. I also had a nice view of the river. The building was really quiet in the evenings which was really appreciated. In many hotels, you can hear all of the doors slamming shut - not here!
