Comfort Suites Rochester Henrietta University Area

I am very familiar with this area and never post reviews. Location-great. Price-great. Upon arriving was nothing professional to say the least. After I got my room I did the obvious inspection (as to any hotel I stay at) and there looked to be dried blood all over the curtains on both sections left and right. On top of that, there were obvious white “stains” all over the bed skirt which really grossed me out!! Every time I went down to talk to ANY person at the front desk- no one was to be found. I sat in the lobby twice for almost 20 minutes and no one. There was a major weed smell coming through to my room, that I actually could not handle (I have no problems with it, it was just wayyy too much). Being in the hospitality business for 23 years, I feel like more is expected… maybe it’s just the ‘generation’ right now that is currently in charge of this place.. whatever it is, it needs to change and this generation obviously needs to be better, or at the very least, managed properly.

We are Choice Business Diamond members. The rooms and location was nice. However, we were disappointed they had no guest laundry as most Comfort Inns offer. We also asked as a Choice Diamond members if we could we utilize late check out. The front desk staff agreed to 12:00 pm and we placed the do not disturb placard on the door. Of course, the housekeeper came and knocked on the door and asked if we were checking out. Totally ignored the do not disturb placard on the door, when all they had to do when they saw it was to inquire with the front desk staff. My company will not be lodging in this hotel again as it does not meet our needs.

It’s a no nonsense hotel that provides a place to stay in a good location, has a hot breakfast and pool. Rooms were basic but clean. It’s not fancy, but a good budget value hotel. The 5 stars is for the staff that work there - shout out to Ricky at the front desk and the cleaning staff who were very courteous and responsive.

Hotel is not one of the nicer Comfort Inns I have stayed in. Needs updating. Shows signs of wear and tear. Needs better cleaning. We pulled our curtains back to look outside and found used condom on the floor. Needs more attention to detail with overall cleaning.

Started off sketchy when we arrived and there was a line of five people waiting to check in. One of the five was a gentleman trying to make them honor their 15 room reservation. Another woman in line had already checked in. They gave her her key, she went up to the room and it was occupied by someone else. They did give her another room. When it was finally our turn we got to our room and it was fine. The odd thing was the shower curtain didn't have a liner. You could clearly see it was not snapped in on the curtain. In order to take a shower and not flood out the room you had to put the whole shower curtain in the tub with you when you showered. The room itself was...old. Needs a good remodel. On a good note the staff was friendly and the pool looked very clean! Would I go here again? Only if I was desperate. My husband thought it was fine.

Positive: Nothing. It was horrible. Negative: It was very dirty. Floors and carpets were dirty. There was a dirty sock in my room. Fridge was dirty. Hotel is very run down. Smelled like smoke and pot on every floor. People walking in and out of the lobby repeatedly seemed questionable.

The place itself was not great, room service people need to pay more attention to detail when cleaning. The hotel itself needs updating but the guys at the front desk get five stars. I had a lot of requests and questions. Ricky, Ethan and Lavone were all great. Give those guys more tools to help the people who stay there and a raise as well they deserve it.

Front desk charged 150 deposit I’m platinum member room was 118 for one night . Bathroom was dirty soap in shower used towel on curtain. Breakfast was just ridiculous for a comfort suite out of everything no plates ,no syrup nothing not even the bare minimum you get at lowest brand motel .. Left kids were starving so had to take them to breakfast another 70 bucks that I should not have needed to spend .. the guy kept saying this happens every Friday sorry would hate to have his job apologizing to everyone who came down to eat that is what the star is for!!! Not the stay
