Best Western Clermont

This is a motel setup. Very average for a 2 star motel, hence the 3 stars. It was clean enough for a 2star, there was a shower (no tub) and the beds were ok. We think they are truly double beds and possibly slightly smaller. Not the queens you get used to. We arrived when it was raining and they don't have gutters on the roofs. So you park next to your room or staircase and you have to duck under the waterfall off the room. Seems careless that they don't install gutters. First room we were assigned had a carbon monoxide detector beeping so we had to move everything back to the car and then drove to a new building. Seemed inconvenient when we were one of 4 cars in the parking lot on that original room assignment area. We don't appreciate motel design layout for the price of a hotel.

This hotel is secluded down a quiet road, and has an eating place across the car park. It is however not a hotel - its a motel - with typical access from the bedroom to the street. I would not have booked it if I tought this was the case. All that said, it was comfortable and breakfast was good.

This is a very tired, old motel. Heating, cooling wall mount is very loud disrupting sleep or work. Paper thin walls allowing TV noise and conversation is disturbing. Stayed 3 nights and room was never serviced. Water pressure in shower very low. Furniture in room is old and dated.

This place is absolutely disgusting. The staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. We had a late check in and when we arrived the person who was checking us in did not seem to know what they were doing. They did not provide my room number or location of the room or when breakfast was served or anything. We were supposed to get a non smoking room and when I opened the door to the room it immediately smelt like cigarettes, the walls were yellow, the bathroom was filthy, the floor clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and the room was at 92 degrees, there was cigarette burns on the chair, half of the lamps did not work, and dead cock roaches in the AC unit. When we called to speak with the manager he was incredibly rude and did not apologize once for the condition the room was in, he did not offer any sort of refund, room change, room cleaning, etc. The only thing that was offered was a *slightly* later check out same day (by 4pm) or he couldn’t do anything else. This is NOT what was advertised on their website. The pictures make it look like a hotel but it’s set up like a motel. My friend and I were there for a festival and encountered other people who were staying at Best Western as well and said the same exact things I am. Honestly, splurge and spend the extra couple dollars to stay at a Holiday Inn. I will NEVER stay at a Best Western again, honestly the worst experience at a hotel and definitely not worth 300 for two nights.

Way overpriced the weekend we stayed. I expected a nicer room and experience for $200 for a night. Prior guests shampoo bottle still in shower, remote didn’t work, was told they didn’t have any extra blankets. Location is right off the highway but you couldn’t hear the highway noise in the room. Seemed safe and other than the issues I mentioned above we didn’t have any major problems. Breakfast was mediocre.

I'm not sure how we missed it when looking for a place to stay, but all of the rooms in this two story place have doors that open directly to the parking lot, which is more motel than hotel. Not a bad thing, but not what we were expecting based on other Best Westerns we have visited. || Check-in and Check-out were okay. The front desk was polite, but not especially welcoming or friendly. We had to have our room keys re-keyed twice to get them to work, which was a bit of a pain. (but at least the walk from the room to the front desk was short). ||The location is good - walking distance to a few restaurants, and close to a major road with any type of shopping or store you might possibly need. |Rooms - both smelled VERY strongly of air freshener or cleaner of some type, which I guess is better than any kind of nasty smell, but made us wonder why. |The carpets and furniture were absolutely filthy - a lot of stains and visible crumbs which should have been vacuumed up. ||The beds/sheets and the bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The towels looked clean but didn't smell clean (they smelled like they might have been sitting for a long time, so maybe our particular rooms hadn't been used in a while) ||The AC/Heat unit worked very well, and the curtains made the rooms nicely dark. |Breakfast was your average free hot and cold breakfast (not a ton of options, but a little of everything), and they kept it well stocked. ||Pricing was not a bargain (which I guess is why we expected a little better conditions), but it wasn't too expensive, either. Our stay was overall on the lower end of average. Probably would not opt to stay here again.

We had a great experience here. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Customer service was great. The room was very clean. Honestly, I was nervous to do a motel in the past and booked this in a hurry, and was very pleasantly surprised.
