NillWe had a lot of reservations about our stay here because of recent reviews. Overall, it was ok. We stayed 4 nights and had a hard time getting our room serviced. Website does state automatic service after 4 nights but we requested service for towels and garbage on day two and it was not completed. After a conversation with the manager, who was great, our room was finally serviced on day 3. They seemed to be under staffed and overwhelmed. They did credit us some Hilton points as we are Hilton members. I think corporate needs to help them out a bit more. A lot seemed out of their control. Location was superior as we were attending a Guardians game and a Cavs game, both close and in walking distance.

NillWe expected a much nicer place being a garden inn. Was listed as 139 a night but after service fees and additional taxes it was $210 a night plus $23 parking a night. We had hair in our sheets so obviously weren't changed so we had to get clean and put them on ourselves. The pool and hot tub were cloudy and occasionally closed when they had to add chemicals. Missing door knob on pool area, unfinished walls in hallway. Yeah cans outside weren't emptied for days and the area beside parking lot looked like a trash dump.

NillWould be a decent hotel if the staff wasn't unprofessional and rude. My room was not ready after arriving and hour + after scheduled check in. They said they would comp parking for my inconvenience yet still charged me a couple days later and would not provide a receipt for me when I called to ask for one. There was no gate attendant when leaving so I ran inside, asked the front desk to buzz me out and then ran back to my car and sat there for 5 minutes waiting. I then had to call the front desk and ask to be buzzed out again and she just said ok and hung up on me. I now know why the rates were so cheap for a downtown hotel. Worst customer service I have experience in all my years of traveling. Find somewhere else to stay!!

★The staff was pleasant. Booked through Hilton honors, and to say I am disappointed in the quality this hotel would be an understatement. The pool was foggy, the room clearly has water damage, the mattresses were stained, in the morning someone attempted to open the door! Thank goodness the interior lock was on. Upon exiting the room to check out, there was a large dumpster in the hall that I had to move to get by. And the worst….. the door did not LOCK automatically. Video could not be uploaded.

NillWe stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a local swim meet at CSU for our young son and daughter and the rest of their Y team. At check in, the staff was at least cordial but not overly friendly. The room ended up not being very well cleaned. The bathroom mirror had residual film on it that gave it a hazy look. The bathroom floor wasn't any better and had a greasy feel to it. We did go to the pool and let the kids swim, but the pool was hazy and didn't look like it was well maintained. The worst thing of the visit was that the next day at the swim meet we noticed several rows of bites on my daughter. We had already checked out, so we check the bed to confirm but we are pretty confident that it was bed bugs. We had to spend the next day after we got home steam cleaning our vehicle and all of the stuff, we took with us just to make sure we didn't bring any bugs home. I did try to call the hotel but ended up with someone with Hilton Rewards who tried to put me through to the hotel manager. For whatever reason she was unable to connect me directly but did say that she notified the hotel of the problem. She did tell me that that someone from the hotel would contact me as a follow up. It has been almost two weeks, and we have not heard from the hotel. My only reason for giving the stay 2 stars is that at check out the desk staff was very friendly, and the location was close to Cleveland State University where we went for the swim meet. Next time we will stay in Independence and just drive a little more.

★We stayed at this hotel while in town for the Cleveland Cavaliers game.|The location was perfect for the game and the breakfast was delicious but that is where the positives end.|The floor we stayed on had a water main break and they had huge blowers drying the hallway, the trim was pulled back also. It looked and sounded like it was under major construction.|I asked the front desk about this and they said it shouldn't bother our stay.|When we returned from the game that night the blowers were still cranking.|It sounded like an airport runway.|We tried to sleep the best we could on some hard tiny pillows but it was not enjoyable.|I'm surprised they put us on this floor due to this and maybe we should have asked for another room but late at night we just figured they would be shut off.|Overall it was a very bad experience.

NillProbably not the best hotel in the area. The lobby looked nice but the building is clearly aging as noted by multiple instances in hallways and near the pool of water leaks. Buckets and peeling wallpaper everywhere. The room itself is fine, however a touch bare, and the bed decent. I think it's a little over priced for what it is now, but if you want to stay central to the downtown area it's not the worst choice. I just wouldn't expect much more than a space to sleep right now.

NillRooms are pretty good beds are nice and clean. It's a little outdated looking, and there were some cleanliness issues like in the bathroom and the windows but not bad. The keys didn't work at first, so I had to go back to the front to get it fixed, but that's about it. It's an ok stay for the price.
