The Local Motel

The amenities were very nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. It's also situated close to quiet a bit of nightlife. The Yamada vending machines are a really cool little gem as well. I would definitely return for a nice getaway with my lady.

The room was nice but that is not why I gave the review 5 stars. When I got to my room the it was cold. I adjusted to heater and went to dinner. When I got back it was not any warmer. I called the number that I received the check in text from and within minutes had a new room, they were fantastic to work with and solved the issue right away! Great customer service is why I give them a 5.

The local hotel is by far the worst experience I have had at said establishments. The walls are paper thin, when guest had steam from her shower, it set off all smoke detectors. Like I can honestly hear someone else fart in the room. When I called for a customer service NO ONE was there NO customer service is present after hours, even with the number they have provided I was unable to reach anybody about my concerns. PLEASE, if you are looking to stay somewhere, I urge you DO NOT come to this hotel. YES that rooms are nice they're fully furnished, clean and modern. I would have given four stars simply on that, for sure but, everything else makes this the worst experience I have had in my entire days of staying at hotels.

Booked with Stash Hotels Got a great price!|Great location! Very central to downtown. Walking or driving to lots of restaurants and things to do was easy. The staff was very communicative via text. The room we stayed in was basic, with a few nice touches: wine glasses with an opener, hair dryer . . . We never had to contact the staff. Everything in the room worked as expected. The bed and bedding were comfortable. We were a little worried about it being noisy because of how close were were to a freeway entrance, but it was no problem. It was more than quiet enough to sleep soundly. Parking was free, felt safe and plenty of it! We would stay here again — great value for the cost!

The room was clean and nicely decorated, however there is no weather gasket around the door so you see light coming in all around it and street noise is not blocked at all. This combined with the fact that there is no interior security lock made it feel a little unsafe when we were awakened by people hollering and fighting in the parking lot in the middle of the night. I realize the management can't control an exterior domestic dispute but it made it seem like the motel is in a questionable neighborhood. It was walkable to local dining and the rate was very affordable.

So, what a pleasant surprise! I was skeptical due to the price, but it was a really fun place to stay. No front desk might turn some off, but was a bonus for me. The cool little vending machine place was awesome. Great location and really clean rooms. I will stay again!

This is, by far, the most adorable room we've ever stayed in. The vending lobby was pretty cool, too! Clean rooms, great service! Amtrak station an easy walk!

A totally redone motel with very nice and playful updates. The beds are comfy, and the pillows and towels great. It is a busy road area but the noise is minimal. You will not find a nicer hotel for the money. And a really cute vending area with Japanese snacks and gifts.
