Motel 6 Ontario, OR

Is this a 5-star luxury hotel? No. But for what it is, it’s very good. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the minimal amenities were sufficient. What earned it a 5-star rating, though, was the staff. From the night clerk who checked me in (and it was late), to the desk manager, Renee, (who solved a problem with Expedia that got me a refund - a nearly impossible task!), to Shiva, their “utility player” who went above and beyond on his day off to get the medication I had foolishly left behind to a UPS store, making sure that it got sent to me, everyone was super nice and helpful and really made for a pleasant stay.

Motel 6 doesn't have the greatest reputation these days, but we found this particular motel to be clean and comfortable. No, they didn't offer a free breakfast or other special amenities, but we didn't care about that. What we did enjoy was the clean, comfortable beds, clean bathroom,the fact we could bring our pet dog into the room with us with no extra "pet fee". And for us, a retirement couple on a budget, the price was very reasonable, especially when combined with the veteran's discount. We would definitely stay here again.

Kara has been amazing since we've been here. We've been here over a month now and we absolutely love her. She goes above and beyond to make sure that we feel welcome and comfortable being here. It's convenient location is wonderful with restaurants all around and Walmart close by. Their rooms are clean and spacious it's has been a great place to call a temporary place to live. They have coffee in the morning and tea as well. As of today I'm not happy. The manager Ranee wants to charge for everything possible instead of talking to the guests she is rude and disrespectful. I feel that she has done nothing but harass me and my family since I've been here. My children are special needs and she takes advantage of that. I'm the one to deal with everything and she doesn't respect that. Kara is amazing but the manager Ranee is rude disrespectful and harasses disables people that's my opinion and I entitled to it. Once she has it in her mind that she doesn't like you she is on your ass about every little thing. I have to stay here for now because we have no where else to go but this is getting to be ridiculous. I will be filing a formal complaint and take legal action if necessary.

Although motel 6 doesn’t have the best track record, I personally have found it to be a great place to stay. They don’t have all the amenities that some places have, but the staff is great and very helpful. The rooms are clean and have all your basic needs and for the price it’s hard to beat.

***WARNING BED BUGS!!!*** We stayed in room 122. I saw a bed bug after I first went to bed. It was moving so fast I couldn’t catch it to get rid of it. Then I got woken up at 2AM being bitten by one and was able to catch it. I went to the front desk in the morning to show the clerk what I found and she said from the photo it just looked like a beetle. I showed her the actual bed bug I had in a tissue and she got very serious and said she’d call the owner because they “take this very seriously”. But at the same time she also took the tissue and bug and said she’d flush it down the toilet for me and immediately took it around the corner and flushed it and then called the owner. She said the owner would call me to “make it right” but then also reiterated that the photo just looks like a beetle and that there’s not evidence that it was actually a bed bug. I told her that she just flushed the evidence and that it WAS a bed bug and she just shrugged. I told her I had the misfortune of living in a place that had bed bugs. They are flat and a tiny bit translucent and have a very distinct appearance, which the bug I had in the tissue had. We then had to bag up all out stuff into garbage bags before packing them into our car so that we didn’t spread bed bugs into the house when arriving home. We had to take all our stuff to the laundromat to wash and dry everything to kill any possible bed bugs that got into our stuff. It was already a long and stressful trip and the last thing we wanted to do when so exhausted was to deal with bed bugs and that much laundry and fuss, not to mention the expense of the laundromat. I have stayed at this motel every couple months both to and from my destination because I travel between Utah and Oregon for work. It has been a great halfway point. But I will never stay there again because they didn’t take this seriously at all, and you shouldn’t stay here either. Yuck.

Well,it a motel,you get what you pay for.When I enter the room,I was welcomed with flies flying everywhere and when I went to the shower there were flies and even the staff already highlighted there were flies there but they never even try to repel it away,why? I have no single piece of idea.The bed is quite dirty and it was obvious that they never changed the bed sheet.The towels were very old.The door was very hard to open. Atleast this motel 6 was cleaner than the last motel 6 I visited.

I am always completely satisfied when staying here. It's affordable the staff is friendly and helpful. They will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

I travel abroad and and find myself in Ontario a few times a year . I always stay here it's your basic hotel. Good service clean rooms and a bed .couldn't ask for more . It's budget friendly but not cheap if u know what I mean. Iv seen hotels in rancid condition and charge double. This is my pick every time I'm here.
