Mark Spencer Hotel

This hotel was beautiful and classy with easy access to paid parking, which was across the street from the hotel. It had an old-school charm that I really loved. The staff was awesome from beginning to end! The room was clean and well stocked, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! Cons - There was only one nightstand on one side of the king size bed, which forced me to create a makeshift nightstand out of the luggage caddy and a towel. Also, there was no shelf in the shower to place your toiletries while showering, which I thought was a strange design choice. Would I stay here again when in Portland? Absolutely!

Spacious room. Very nice welcome when we arrived later in the evening. I liked options for parking. The beds were comfortable. Convenient location. The room offered a very nice kitchen area with separate seating. The bathroom was very well designed so more than one person can get ready at the same time

One of my favorite hotel stays ever! Great location, super clean, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, and a price that couldn't be beat. The floor we stayed on had a cool art display as well, not sure if others do, but it was a unique touch I appreciated. I booked third party through Hopper and had no issues with the hotel finding my booking and prepayment was no issues. I read other reviews that warned of bad parking, but the staff directed us to their parking garage with ease and it was super easy to get in and out of with unlimited come and go access.

The hotel is a very cute trendy hotel. The staff is very welcoming. Anthony checked me in at the front desk and had the best customer service. Told me about all the restaurants in walking distance. Had a few recommendations. He even provided me with real glasses for my bottle of wine!!! Highest, quality of service.

Nice classic hotel in the heart of downtown Portland. The corner room was very affordable and we would stay there again. It doesn't have a lot of extra frills, but it is pleasant and clean and in the middle of everything. It is within close walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars - there is something for everyone in this part of town. The hotel staff was great. We chose the hotel for a concert we were attending at the Crystal Ballroom and plan to come back. The Mark Spencer Hotel is one of a kind!

Everything about my stay was great. The location downtown was perfect for walking to lots of attractions. My room was clean and comfortable. But the highlight of my stay was John H our wine tasting host. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. As a single woman traveling alone, he made me feel welcome and comfortable. John H gave me excellent tips on where to go and what to see. His customer service was exemplary. The hotel gets five stars but John H gets 10 Stars!!!

It's our third time staying at the Mark Spencer and I see no reason to try anywhere else when we're in Portland! We love the location and the rooms. It's always great to have an in-room kitchen also. And we also love being close to Powell's. Thanks for another great stay!

We love love the Mark Spencer in every possible way! Staff are unbelievably lovely, the rooms are beautiful & clean,the beds are comfy.| they give our dog free dog treats there's happy hour wine! You can walk to cheryl's on 12th you can walk to Powell's. We come down to Portland just stay at the Mark Spencer
