Good location, price is good, room is a-little dated but it was clean. Room was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was only a few choices 7am-9am. No elevator but easy access to both floors. We would stay here again.

Great location --- near Mammoth Site and next door to excellent Mexican restaurant, Jalapeno Grill. Clean, fresh, great value for the money. Pet friendly. Quiet. First rate employees. Wide selection for the free breakfast.

Everyone working the front was hospitable. The room we stayed in had minor issues, but nothing that can't be remedied with some elementary maintenance. They should invest in cigarette smoke detectors for the scumbags who smoke in their rooms knowing it's a smoke-free hotel. The smoke was overwhelming every time we utilized our restroom.

Staying in Hot Springs overnight, we ended up at this Super 8. This is decent budget-priced hotel space.||ROOMS: Clean and comfortable, if a bit dated. The a/c worked great. Some things have been updated. ||SERVICE: Front desk took care of all our needs. We skipped the Continental breakfast for something a bit more hearty in town.||LOCATION: Convenient on US 18 on the south side of town. One of the top places in Hot Springs to visit, the Mammoth Site, is across the parking lot. A decent Mexican restaurant, Jalapenos, is just down the sidewalk. ||NET-NET: If I were staying in town a week, I might choose something different, but for a reasonable and affordable place to stay over night, this place fits the bill.

Road trip, stop #2||We normally stay in a Hilton hotel when traveling but the one in Hot Springs is terrible!!||I took a chance on this Motel 8 and it was GREAT! The room was large and clean. The hotel was quiet but you could smell cigarette smoke at the end of the hallway when an employee kept going out the door and smoking right there. Other than that, no issues or complaints.||The breakfast area is large but they are using part of it for storage as they update the rooms. There is a small breakfast buffet with waffles as the only hot breakfast item. ||For the price and the location, this hotel is probably the best one in Hot Springs. The parking area is very large if you have an oversized rig and it's located right next door to Jalapeno's restaurant (which is amazing) and the Mammoth site. ||Highly recommend this hotel.

Positive: Price is good, desk staff is great, location is good. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Negative: The A/C or Window furnace is really loud and hard to control the true temp in the room. Bathroom is really small and seemed like the water didn't get as hot as we'd like.

Stayed here for 5 nights during Thanksgiving week ,arrived after midnight quick service upon arrival , king size bed ,TV, microwave, refrigerator, nice reclining chair, nice desk chair, you can tell they have started updating the rooms new vanity ,good tv ,new recliner ,new shower curtain ,new floor in bathroom clean bathroom, great towels ,bed extremely comfy and great pillows, good heater, good lighting, breakfast is continental cereal ,waffle, juice, milk, coffeetoast, yogurt apples enough to get the day started ,the hotel was quiet and plenty of people were coming and going. The Poor , room carpeting is really old and icky ,room not clean around the edges of carpeting ,no plug in available on one side of bed would have been nice to have plug in on both sides , housekeeping friendly but not attentive at all , had to ask to get trash emptied ,had to ask for toilet paper after she had been In To get our trash ,our room never got vacuumed and we were gone everyday so there was ample time. The dinning area room was semi clean and mostly stocked We would stay here again because of the valu, safe area ,friendly owner and front desk.

Stayed here for vacation in the Black Hills. Hotel is simple, but clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful. Continental breakfast is a plus. Hotel convenient to attractions, including Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, etc. and there is a great restaurant next door. Would stay here again!
