Sonesta Simply Suites Austin The Domain Area

We spent a terrific 28 days in this suites hotel. The reception staff of Muge, Amber, and Matthew were amazingly friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. Unlimited free coffee, free laundry, and the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had in a hotel made for an exceptional stay. The location of the hotel between the Arboretum (walking distance) and The Domain (a very short drive) made it extremely convenient for finding good restaurants and fun activities. We will happily return again in the future.

Positive: Very helpful staff! Everything I needed was included in the room and the addition of free laundry was great! Negative: Room cleaning services were not provided after four days. I extended my stay twice and did not have housekeeping services. I was able to get clean towels at the front desk.

It’s a good place to stay considering the service and the location. We took the queen suite with fully equipped kitchen. It’s a value for money. I have also rebooked after 2 weeks for a stay.

Nice hotel, seems like a good lower budget option for longer term stay. They don't have breakfast, but they have free coffee, a free (and decent!) laundry room, a mini gym. In my unit there was a stovetop, a microwave and a fridge. If you want to use the laundry room, bring your own detergent!

What a pleasant surprise! Although this might be considered a secondary hotel, the guest experience truly stands out from the moment you step in. It’s clear they prioritize their guests. They provided excellent communication regarding local events (like Formula 1 racing) and even partnered with Grubhub to offer free delivery — something I’ve never seen a hotel do before. It’s a brilliant touch that sets them apart.

All the staff were extremely accommodating, friendly, and compassionate. The suites were large, clean, and super comfortable. We had to extend our trip for weeks because of a medical emergency, and they immediately came to our rescue, helping us in all ways. It was both family and pet friendly. It provides an outdoor grill and a small patio for groups to gather as well as an exercise room. I highly recommend this hotel both for short - and long-term stays. (Also in a great location)

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. First of all this place is very rundown, very musty smell in hallways and the rooms are in need of a deep cleaning and renovations. Not worth the 130 I spent here for the night. However my issue was with check out. I mistakenly booked one night instead of 2 nights. Instead of the hotel calling me and notifying me that my things were left in my room past check out they just cleaned out the room and threw my things away! When confronting them I was gaslighted and told that there was never anything in the room to begin with when they started to clean it. I would have just respected them more if they had told me they threw my belongings away instead of LYING to my face like im an idiot. Thank god it was just clothes and underwear, and I didn’t have any valuable belongings like technologies, god forbid they would have lied to my FACE about that too and taken off with my things!!! Very shady, very unprofessional.
