Nill1 STAR HOTEL Ihad an absolutely dreadful experience at Sonesta North Central in Austin and strongly advise against staying here. Upon arrival, we were horrified to find cockroaches crawling in the lobby and a general lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel. It’s unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one charging guests, to have such conditions. The only bright spot was Victor, the new manager, who genuinely seemed to care and tried to help and made sure help. Honestly, he’s too good for this place—I’d recommend he take his talents to a better hotel where his efforts would be appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff was a letdown. There was one male agent who was completely mean always wearing headphones, talking on the phone, and acting like the cockroach infestation was no big deal. It was shocking to see such indifference. We raised our concerns, hoping for a resolution, but the staff, including someone named Karina who seemed untrained, couldn’t do much. We demanded cancellations and refunds for our bookings, but here’s a warning: be cautious with refunds—they don’t respond, and avoid do it all cost speacially agents. The hotel’s refusal to address serious issues or process refunds promptly is beyond frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place at all costs. It’s unfit for guests, and the lack of accountability makes it even worse. I'm here to help you guys with my own experiences.

NillBest feature is it being off the highway! The hotel looked nice but towels were the size for a toddler and only 2 in the room for 2 beds and sleeper sofa and i put down 5 were staying, no bedding in the room for pull out couch. Beds said queen but we're full( they were pretty comfy) hardly any plugs to charge phone

NillThe Booking Agency is mistaken as to its being a Hyatt was incorrect and disappointing. The location was iffy the Hotel needs a bit of care. However, the room was good, but not great. It lacked USB charging facilities I'd had on this trip with other establishments. The room though was very good and the better than the powdered eggs served else where on my trip and the staff were good.

NillThe hotel is older, the grounds look rough. With some grounds clean up and some spruce up in the elevator, it could be 5 stars. The room is clean. If they really work to increase the retro decor, it could be a niche. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. Ms. Perla, she runs the breakfast, she is the sweetest lady. She is so friendly and welcoming, almost like visiting with family. The staff definitely make up for the aged hotel. This is a solid choice and priced right.

NillThis was not a great experience. 1 elevator wasn’t working. The beds are rock solid. Inside the building, it doesn’t look like it’s worth the price at all. And outside of the area is VERY run down. I would NOT recommend being outside at night. We ended up canceling our stay on the 2nd day. I don’t understand how they have a high rating when apartments have a better setting. The breakfast is literally waffles from like Walmart. Lego my ego type of waffles. It nearly ruined my honeymoon.

NillNo clue how this place has good reviews on google and booking.com. The photos and reviews are incredibly misleading. The hotel is run down, dirty, full of drug addicts, has severe pest issues. The rooms are dirty, smell like cigarettes and mold. Upon entering my room I saw a huge cockroach run across the floor into the cabinets. Thankfully the front desk staff was understanding and refunded the booking fully, they were very friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to save money, I'd recommend finding a motel with similar quality but the fraction of the price. If you're willing to spend the money, I'd recommend Aloft or Avid for similar price but far better experience.

NillLooks are deceiving! Hotel looks nothing like the pictures you see. The hotel is old. The elevator makes a cringy noise to open and take you up. Some lights are broken in the hallway. Please have no high hopes for breakfast. There was a “shortage” when we were there and this was empty with just greasy eggs and that’s about it. When you book this hotel think twice. I recommend Drury Inn & Suites. If we would’ve known we would’ve book there.

NillThe grounds were not well kept, there was poop everywhere, and there was trash in the hallways. The elevator smelled like oil and was very rickety. The carpet in the rooms did not look professionally done--cut and frayed edges--the furniture was scratched up, and they charged a $75.00 per pet non-refundable fee. If you need to schedule a late checkout just add a day to your trip because it's $25.00 per 1/2 hour up to 1:00. During check in they only had one desk clerk and there was a line to the door. I took these pictures as soon as we checked in. The towels were small and cheap. The room has a weird smell. And the first time I took a shower I didn't notice an anti slip mat rolled up and standing on the back corner of the tub. I turned in the shower and fell all the way to the floor. Don't come here. It's not worth the money. If you do, make sure you put the mat down in the shower.
