DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Austin

I had the most wonderful stay at Doubletree by Hilton in Austin. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who quickly checked me in and handed me some awesome warm cookies! The room was spacious and nice, very clean and had a nice view of the patio and pool. The next morning, I had some breakfast at the restaurant and again the service was great, and the food was good. They also have a nice coffee bar which offers Starbucks coffee but at a better price! My latte was perfect.||I am in the service industry and can appreciate a nice visit, with friendly staff, clean rooms and would strongly recommend this beautiful hotel to my friends and family.

I loved this hotel. Beautiful pool/outdoor courtyard area. Also, Irma made the best evening drinks and was so sweet. Jose was awesome, delivered our food and picked everything up for us out in the courtyard area. Cathy makes the best coffee in the morning and is so personable.

If you ever stay here, be sure to request a room away from the fitness center. We, unfortunately, got the room right next to the fitness center, which is open 24 hours, and it's just constant slamming of weights. It's impossible to sleep. It is so loud. The rooms are nice but very outdated. No matter how low we set the AC, the room stayed too warm to sleep. There's also no microwave in the room. Beds are comfy and the room was clean. Staff was nice. Lobby is nice. The only parking available is a garage and it's an extra $20 per night. In the end, we overpaid for a sleepless night.

Great option for the price! The room was clean and spacious enough, with everything needed. The building is beautiful with a nice atmosphere. The bar is awesome, and the breakfast was delicious and varied. The garage is convenient, so parking was no issue. Overall, a great hotel—I’m very satisfied!

Rooms are dated and quirky but that also makes it unique. Always clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast and coffee drinks are great!

The hotel is beautiful and smells amazing. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Mary Ellen was our server at the hotel restaurant and was so incredibly sweet. Amazing service! She made sure we were taken care of and just overall had a wonderful personality. The hotel is also right across the street from Papadeauxs!

This was a great hotel! It’s close enough to everything that you can take a short drive and be wherever you need but far enough away from the insane traffic of Austin. Even better, when we checked out and an hour later I realized I left something in the room the staff was super helpful getting it back to me. They were kind and able to get me back my item very fast.

The location of the hotel is very convenient being right off the freeway, and there are a few restaurants near. I arrived at this hotel with my husband for a company function. Our room was clean, outdated extremely warm. The air doesn’t flow very well. Our refrigerator was broke maintenance did act quickly to come and correct these issues.. at the function while eating, the bus boy insisted on taking my drink before I finished it, and taking my silverware that I was not using, which I felt was very rude being that I was still sitting there eating and drinking when I told him I was still using my silverware and still drinking out of my glass. He was upset as if he couldn’t finish or complete his work. I felt it was very rude because I was still sitting eating and drinking. Then when I got up to go get dessert, he decided to clean my area as if I was not even coming back. I asked him politely to leave my things there again. He got frustrated with me. My husband stepped in, and the bus boy got an attitude with my husband, which I thought was unprofessional. my husband, and I proceeded to get our dessert come back and sit down and before we knew it a manager named Johnnie came to speak to my husband. I interjected because the situation happened to me. Johnnie put his hand in my face and told me to be quiet and not to talk because he’s speaking to my husband and that I don’t need to say anything. He even threatened to have the police escort us out because it was said that the busboy felt intimidated because I told him not to take my drink and silverware. This was extremely embarrassing extremely disrespectful extremely unprofessional. I proceeded to speak again, and Johnnie did the same thing. He was not understanding at all was not trying to hear me at all which I believe he was racist because I’m a black woman my husband is a white man and out of about 200-300 people there were only less than one handful of Black people in the entire event. I felt Johnnie saw this and use that to his advantage and just thought that he could talk to me as a black woman any kind of way I thought he would have apologized before the night was over but instead his apology was getting my husband another drink. There was nothing said to me nothing at all I will never go back to that hotel ever again. I’m a corporate travel agent and I will never recommend that hotel to any of my clients as of right now I feel Johnnie is extremely Racist and I wouldn’t feel safe around him even with 1000 people in the area. Worst experience ever for me
