Candlewood Suites Baytown by IHG

The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean and restrooms spotless. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home. The amenities were on point also. I highly recommend this location and will definitely stay here again. I’ve already recommended it to others.

I reserved my stay through the IHG app for March 1st - March 3rd and prior to check in, I notified the hotel of my late arrival (1-2am). When arriving there was a system error in which the reservation was unable to be checked in. During this time my credit card was tried multiple times before the error was caught. After much time and a few phone calls, the front staffing associate was able to allow me and the other waiting guests access to our rooms. The next day my card was charged for the total within the app, 4 incidental fees, and a nightly rate. The front staffing manager, Amy was adamant I was mistaken when I spoke to her about this issue. After she realized that her detailed explanation was incorrect, she was still unapologetic regarding the whole situation and stated that the only resolution was to “call the bank for help”. The following night my dishwasher began to leak (I never used it, I have no idea how!). We used all the towels to subside the influx of water and reported the notice to the front desk. I understood maintenance would probably be unable to come by tonight due to the time (12am), but requested towels so we were able to shower for the evening. Not only did the front desk associate not seem to care of the issue, she also did not apologize, or find any sort of accommodation for the situation. Instead she insisted that I bring the original towels down to swap for new ones… which wasn’t happening! This hotel is honestly so inhospitable and unwelcoming. I will not be returning nor do I recommend staying here to anyone.

Stayed for a week, travel for nightwork and sleep daytime. Hotel was clean, staff was great. Used the gym and free laundry, both were good. Bathroom was nice. Good water pressure, clean and roomy bathroom. Good beds, good bedding. I appreciate the stay.

Great hotel comfortable stay awesome view of room. Love to come here and get away. It’s very peaceful also have a locker room to sign out items that can be used.

Had an amazing few days, the staff were excellent and i 100% recommend. the room was spacious and clean, and access was seamless. I do wish there was more to offer in the gym but it served its purpose for a short stay

I was a FEMA assistance guest and went through 4 hotels before checking into Candlewood. It was the best decision I made. I was there for about 4 months. They made me feel so at home and comfortable that when it was time for me to leave, I was very emotional. Every person working there has their own way of making you comfortable and it works!! Room was clean, bed comfy, a/c units were very loud and rattled. The shower had zero water pressure and barely put out water. The hotel does not offer anything for breakfast I mean nothing at all so that was the deciding factor for me I will never stay at this facility again

I had an horrible experience during my stay at this location. The front staffing “manager”, Amy, is very rude and unprofessional. She really makes the hotel feel so inhospitable and unwelcoming. I will not be returning nor do I recommend staying here to anyone.
