NillThe hotel is in the process of getting updates, and that's okay because the outcome is worth it. We arrived and checked in easy. Parking simple, just make sure you leave your parking tag visible. The front desk staff went above and beyond to do the job. We hung out by the pool that was clean and had drinks delivered to us by a staff member who was on top of her service. We went for a walk, but they do offer holiday inn bikes to use along the beach (might do that next time). Come dinner time, we went downstairs to B. Jiggers for a meal and a drink, they had karaoke, and that didn't disappoint. They included everyone and made the night fun. The hotel manager came to check on us and told us about a special on meals and asked if we needed anything. Before we checked out the next day, we had breakfast (buffet style) it was tasty and easy to navigate. We checked out, and it was super simple back at the front desk with new staff. We will be returning again.

★★★★★The Holiday Inn Galveston on the Beach is solid hotel with a great location. We were in a newly renovated room, which was clean, modern and comfortable. The location right across the street from the ocean with easy access to the pier and historic downtown just a short drive away was superb. But, where the hotel really shines is the staff. From reception, to the restaurants and the maintenance crew, everyone is quick with a smile and a friendly hello. A special shout out to Sandra G. who made breakfast each day a joy. She was so friendly, never missed a refill and even offered us coffee to-go as we rushed out our final morning to catch our flight. If you’re staying in Galveston, the Holiday Inn is a solid choice.

NillStayed here before a cruise on 3/21. A great location close to Pleasure Pier. Breakfast is your standard Holiday Inn breakfast you come to expect. Room was beautifully remodeled with comfortable beds and nice big showers. The night entertainment was what set this apart. The band was awesome! Entertaining and got people moving. Staff was very nice to top it off.

★★★★★stayed 8 nights during spring break. (March 12-21) Most reviews are prompted by a negative experience but I cannot say anything bad about hotel, staff, maintenance or any aspect of the stay. Totally perfect and stats an understatement. Even though renovations are being finished up, even the contractors remaining were polite and courteous. I want to give special recognition to the bar waitress Jamie and manager Joey. I had misplace cash at the pool, a nice family found it, turned it in to Jamie, she gave to her manager Joey for safe keeping. I returned 3 hours later and Joey had my cash. Total honesty. Professionalism and integrity exhibited. Kudos to a friendly competant hard working staff A+ experience!

★★★★★We showed up early, and they allowed us to check in which was a very pleasent surprise. We got the floor we wanted which made our aniversary stay even better. The room service was excellent and understanding after I had spilled a cup of coffee on the bed, they were very attentive to ensure the room was cleaned up properly. Our stay was right before spring break, so it was very quite and not crowded which was an added plus for us. We have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years and have only had a couple of issues which in most cases were taken care of promptly.

★★★★The property is making great progress on updating the facility. The rooms are clean and modern. I love that there is no carpet; especially since this is a beach facility. The front desk staff was professional and friendly and on top of their game. Definitely recommend this hotel. I would recommend that anyone needing a shower that has bars for the elderly or disabled let staff know at check in.

★First one I walked in the hotel. No one spoke. I had to say hello, and greet everyone . When someone did speak, it was a little guy at the front. I don't know his name. He checked me in, the lady with the dull. orange hair never . The bathrooms were small. Oh the remodeling was horrible. I booked the cruise package with transportation to and from the cruise terminal. We had to pick up three from three different hotels, then we finally made it to the terminal. Put all the worst experience coming back. We made it to the cruise terminole. Off the ship at about 848am.. It was raining so hard.It was almost like we were in a hurricane. I had my older daughter my two year old grandson, my eight year old daughter had to brave, these harsh conditions as we waited for eternity for the bus to return to the terminal to pick us up we called the hotel. Spoke to someone named debbie, who said that the shuttle would be there 20 min no shuttle called back someone 30 min no shuttle.. My u, we are soaking wet as well as our luggage. Add children. You are ruined $350 worth of carnival pitchers. And you know how much the pictures cost on the cruise ship? While waiting.. about 10:15 am the shuttle arrived and the driver jumps out and said. I can't believe y'all waited for me in this weather... I wouldn't have waited.Y'all just didn't want to pay the seventy five dollars for the uber. What should we have to pay seventy five dollars for an uber? When we pay to be picked up from the cruise terminal. I'm leaving by this point. Will you back to the hotel dripping and change in the rest..Mike said he was going to give me 10,000 point for the inconvenience ..of course that didn't happen. My child are not coughing sneezing and stuffy nose my self including... I do have a video and pictures of my pictures and of my luggage and of my children and I'm upset and I'm thinking about doing a small claims court. I know I'm reporting out to the Better Business Bureau.
