Candlewood Suites Galveston by IHG

We recently stayed at Candlewood Suites Galveston for our fishing trip, and as always, it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed to relax after a long day on the water. The kitchenettes are a great touch, letting us prepare meals and store our catch. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making sure we felt at home throughout our stay. Conveniently located near great fishing spots, this hotel has become our go-to for every trip. Highly recommend for anglers and families alike!

1 st time staying at a Candlewood suites and it was great, it had a kitchenette. The beds were full size which was a little cramped for us but the beds were soft! Location was great… it’s next to a Target and a Shirley’s and McDonalds is just down the street when driving towards downtown. No ice machines and no continental breakfast but the price reflects that. We normally eat out anyways, target sells ice thank god.

Employees were cool and friendly. Decent enough place for the price. Not luxurious but it was a good place to rest your head for an affordable price after a long day on a motorcycle.

This hotel is so clean you are met during the day by the manager name Ali he is so friendly and so kind and helpful in the evening you served by the staff with shonda being over that and she is making the cutest little girl ever and ever so helpful. We were given our keys and helped her room it was made up beautifully there was every amenity you would want there is a full kitchen you can bring your own food and cook just like you were home if you need to also there is a little store that you can buy snacks from to take and fix in your room you have free coffee which is some of the best I've ever drank they have a Colombian coffee that is delightful they have half and half and all the wonderful stuff that you want to go in your coffee for free you can drink it several times a day there's no limit my pillow was so good I actually called and asked could I buy it LOL we will always come here the best deal for the most quiet wonderful sleep in the strand area the historical part of Galveston then you can always drive within a few minutes to go to the seawall and have fun in the sand but coming back to this quiet clean wonderful hotel room is just amazing we will never go anywhere else

Clean hotel. Lobby was inviting. Desk person cordial. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool view on 3rd floor. Would definitely stay again. Only thing we missed by staying here compared to other IHG was a morning continental breakfast. The rooms provides a stove top to do your own cooking.

The staff was helpful and polite. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The parking lot was well maintained and well lit. The bathroom door was sticky and had to be pushed to close. There was no free breakfast and the food cupboard prices were too high.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I had to move from another hotel due to their lack of wifi. And I'm glad I made the change, because the previous hotel was run down and dirty, and was almost as expensive as this place.

The hotel stay was wonderful. The older gentleman at the front desk is not fit for front desk he is not welcoming engaging inviteing completely not cut out for customer service. He is rude, smug unhelpful and doesn't care for your customers satisfaction...hence the way he told me ro take beach towels to dry off with ...
