NillSince I originally bought here, maybe someone can help me figure out how to get help. I was completely mistreated and kicked out of my owners meeting in Scottsdale, told i had no right to make any upgrades or changes, and after I nicely sat thru 2 hour meeting was told i could not get my reward. It was discrimination because I told them about my cancer diagnosis. Please help, no one from HICV will help me and this went down in Nov. I deserve to be released from my contract if they claim it all unaccessible.

NillMy husband and I were so excited to stay here. It seemed like the pool we would be using would be the one looking out into the ocean. The perks seemed like a great place to stay here. Instead we got put way in the back of the “resort”. The beautiful pool they posted is for certain guests only and across two busy streets from where people stay. This place seems luxury online but it’s definitely not. Although the room was spacious it definitely has not be updated in a very long time. We also got eaten alive by the mosquitoes coming in and out of the room. We definitely will never stay here again.

NillGreat location away from the main drag on Galveston. The room was a 2 room presidential lock-off. Not sure why they are rated a three star facility. 2 star at best. Room was surface clean only. Carpet was deep down dirty. My feet left black footprints on the white towels when I was getting in the shower. Beautiful room. Poorly maintined. Outlets in one kitchen were non functional. Fortunately they worked in the second kitchen so we used those. Fantastic jacuzzi bath. Overflow part of the drain was loose and the button for the jets wasn't attached right so kept getting jammed. It worked. Had a driving rain storm. Door to the front let water in and soaked the kitchen floor. Window in the studio wasn't sealed right.. Rain soaked my luggage and the carpets. Just really poor maintenance of the facility. Never heard a peep from any staff the whole week. Not a bad thing but I guess someone could have checked on us. Great view from our deck. Great location. Too bad they can't maintain the facilities.

NillI have a timeshare here and I can’t use it. I cannot recommend Holiday Inn to anyone! They put on big presentations here and they will lie to you about the timeshare and the availability. They told me it could be used at their hotels or even hotels that aren’t not Holiday Inn. It does not book cruises or anything in other countries like they said either. I have been bringing this to their attention repeatedly and no one will give me the time of day. I was asked how to get out of this and they told me I would have to pay over $30,000 to do so. That is ridiculous by any standard. Between Tere French and Dylan Lapicki, they have scammed me for thousands of dollars and there is NO customer service. This timeshare is a RIPOFF and a waste of time!

★★Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Seaside Resort, an IHG Hotel||Location was great. That is it! No breakfast, no restaurant in waljing distance. Closest 2mi & I probably would not risk earing there. Never been in a bedroom that has no windows & no connection to outside world. Living room did have a window. Bathroom was filthy (mold) & barely any water pressure. Bathtub had lose shower piping. If you want pics, just tell me. 2 elevators in entire complex. Our's was the East tower/elevator & not working for our 3 days. I am 82 yo & had to schlepp my stuff walking over to West elevator, get up to 4th floor & then walk 100 yards back to our East tower to reach my room. Holiday Inn refused to assist! Balcony fits 1 person in chair. If you open door that person has to get up & hide in a tiny space behind door. In short: a disaster! Never again...I need a refund of at least 50%.

Balanced Analyst, Thoughtful Evaluator
NillI recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Vacations in Galveston, and while my experience had its ups and downs, there were some noteworthy highlights. First off, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and drinks available at the onsite dining area. The quality of the meals exceeded my expectations, and the staff in the food area were friendly and attentive, truly enhancing our dining experience. However, I was surprised to find a cleaning fee charged to my account, especially since I felt I had left the place spotless. It left a sour taste during what was otherwise a pleasant stay. Moreover, I found the front desk staff lacking in customer service skills. They didn’t seem to prioritize making guests feel welcome or valued, which detracted from the overall experience. I also encountered a significant inconvenience: there was no elevator in the building, making it a challenge to carry luggage up to my room. I would advise future guests to avoid booking through RCI, as it appeared to complicate the process unnecessarily. Despite the challenges, the location and dining experiences were enjoyable, and I hope improvements can be made in the service areas.

★★This was a total scam. The resort, as advertised, is not what you’ll find when you get here…most of the online pictures are of the premiere seaside building that is only for select guests. We were assigned to a building on the other side of the road with no access to the facilities in the other building. At check in (we arrived at 5:00, long after the check-in time of 4:00) we were told our room wasn’t ready, and we were advised that it would be another hour or two before it was. We got a call around 7 that it was finally ready, by which point, we had gone out to dinner. On our return, it was late, and we expected to check in quickly. Instead, we were checked in, and sent to a separate area to “activate our keys.” It turned out that while our keys were activating, we were subjected to an agressive salesperson, attempting to sell us a timeshare on the property. We were able to slowly extricate ourselves from the situation without signing up for a “tour,” but we were called twice in the next 24 hours by salespeople, asking us to reconsider. Our room was mediocre for the price of $1400-plus for three nights, especially with no room servicing. Though it was recently renovated, it was nothing special, and clearly an inexpensive band-aid job.

★★★Stayed a long weekend in a 2 bedroom condo made for 5. Room was very clean and had most everything you need. One thing lacking was no containers for leftovers so bring those. All kitchen items are glass or ceramic so if want to eat on the beach, bring plastic or silicone ware. Appliances available are coffee pot, microwave, toaster, and blender. Den is a little small for 5 people but we had only 2 so was very comfortable. There is a small balcony with a table and chairs and could see the water if looking from one corner of the balcony but not from sitting at a the table. It is located across the street from the beach so you have to walk across but pretty easy to do. If working out is important to you, there is a workout room in the sister facility across the street which is their premier version. You can’t use anything at the sister facility except the workout room. There are grills located outside between the buildings with a picnic table. Outside activities include mini golf, shuffleboard , horseshoes, ping pong, tennis court and basketball court. Games and movies available to be checked out. Washer and dryer available in a front building at no cost. All in all a nice relaxing weekend. To sum up, I’d say the condo is clean, adequate and basic. Not luxury but comfortable for a trip.
