Stayed here for two nights with my fiancé, we are from out of town and came to Houston for engagement pictures. I was very iffy about staying here based on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and had no issues with staying here. If your expecting 5 star and super updated this isn't it but it does the job for a few days and was comfortable and clean. The lobby was clean and welcoming. Mahogany was at the front desk and was very pleasant and welcoming. We had a suite and the room was clean and we had enough space for us and to get ready. yes a little dated but nothing to wear it halted out stay. water pressure in the shower was not the best but we still managed. Parking was safe and we can no issue. We didn't eat or tried the bistro so cant review on that. We stopped by the gym not a lot but had a few machines that were enough. Pool was clean and we sat out there for a little and enjoyed the weather. Over it was a good stay and we no issues. So if your iffy about staying here just remember if you go expecting the four season this isn't it, but for a quick trip and laid back it does the job.

Positive: The hotel was very accomodating to my needs for another room and for a late check in. Negative: The original room I was assigned had not television service. The electrical outlets didn't work properly. When I shared my concerns with the front desk clerk, she immediately gave me another room across the hall, which had no AC.

We arrived after our connecting flight was canceled. A 2 hour flight from Ft Lauderdale to Houston took 4 hours as we had to fly up to Kentucky to get around a storm. Southwest canceled my second flight home and then told me it would take 2 hours to get my bag off the plane that was being unloaded! I arrived at the Marriott quite upset and exhausted. Mahogany at the front desk was beyond pleasant and helpful. In fact other than my wife she was the first person who was nice and kind to me all day. It changed my day. She quickly helped us check in and gave great advice on getting food late night. The staff here has been awesome! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more if you need to stay out by the Houston Hobby airport.

Disappointing Experience at Courtyard Marriott – Treated Like We Didn't Matter I booked the Courtyard Marriott near the Houston Airport for a special group trip to thank friends and family who supported me through the hardest time of my life—helping after my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. What should have been a joyful stay turned into an absolute nightmare. We were stranded THREE times by their shuttle service—in freezing temperatures, after dinner, and before our car service the next day. Each time, we were promised pickup that never came. It caused extreme delays, stress, and out-of-pocket costs for Uber. To top it off, my shower faucet was falling out of the wall! After returning home, I wrote Marriott a calm, detailed email. I was met with a generic response and a small credit for maybe a third of a night’s stay. That’s it. No real apology, no accountability, and no resolution. When I followed up, I was told the case was “closed”—without my consent or even a proper conversation. Absolutely unacceptable. I expected more from Marriott. I’m now waiting (again) to hear back from someone who can make this right. Until then, I’ll be warning others to stay elsewhere.

I have stayed here several times since this place is literally walking distance from my work commitment that I have there twice a month. Staff is friendly, the shuttle is very convenient to take me to work and then to the airport afterwards. Food and drink is a little pricey, so I’ve started bringing my own. The prices belong at the big Marriott next-door not in a baby sister Marriott. Having $40-$60 bottles of wine in a “work man’s” hotel is too high. Last time I was there, the icemakers for the guests on all floors did not work. I hope that got fixed.

I’d like to share a concern regarding my recent experience with Aurora, who was working as the cashier. Unfortunately, her attitude toward both me and my friend while we were ordering food and drinks was very distasteful and unprofessional. I simply asked for her opinion on the pasta with grilled chicken, and she responded rudely with, “If you don’t want it, you don’t have to get it,” while rolling her eyes. I remained calm and proceeded to order it anyway, but she continued to display unnecessary rudeness, including more eye-rolling and dismissive behavior. Even after I sat down to eat, she continued to stare at me and make unpleasant facial expressions, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. For context, I am a Black woman, and the entire interaction left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I hope this matter is addressed appropriately, as no one deserves to be treated in such a manner.

I have been very disappointed in our stay. Not in the hotel itself but service. When you come to the front desk and NO PERSON IS AROUND....Not once but anytime the need for front desk was needed. The phone would ring. No person was around except the poor kid behind the bar/food area. He let it ring until the third call happened and when he ran over to answer it ...the caller was lost. I think the nice man that drives the bus had a kind and friendly attitude. Too bad those women hired for front desk didn't take their job seriously. I found the good name Marriott doesn't apply here. And please. Do not answer my post with your cookie cutter form. Spend a little time and hire or train your people.

Lobby air conditioning broken, room has stale cigarette smoke smell. Otherwise a decent hotel for the money. Location has ZERO curb appeal. Exterior needs a refresh. That said, would not recommend.
