NillLet me start by saying — sometimes it really be your own people. There was a Black man at the front desk who honestly made the experience worse. I only wanted to check in 15 minutes early — at 2:45 PM — and he refused. He was being unnecessarily strict about it. On top of that, he claimed he couldn’t find my reservation, which was a straight-up lie because I had to call and confirm it myself. He seemed full of himself, gave me a hard time about parking (even though customers are supposed to park there), and was just acting selfish overall. He spent more time doing “bro bro talk” than actually helping. His whole attitude was lazy, bossy, and dismissive — like he didn’t believe a word I said. Very extra, to say the least. At least I managed to get another room after the first one they gave me turned out to be dirty — like half-cleaned — and even had roaches or something crawling in it. Disgusting. The second room wasn’t much better: • No proper air conditioning. Instead, there was a random Frigidaire pop-up unit — real ghetto, real hood. • No decor. The room looked and felt like a cheap motel. • The entire hotel feels abandoned. Barely any guests, empty vibes. • Bathroom issues. Rust and mold on the showerhead and shower walls. • Missing essentials. No shampoo or body wash that’s usually mounted on the walls at Marriott properties. • Everything outdated. From the light fixtures to the materials in the room — it’s clear nothing has been updated in decades. • Terrible AC. That old-ass air conditioning from the 1960s is enough to piss anybody off. Honestly, this property is nowhere near what you expect from a Marriott brand. If this is how they allow it to be run, they should be ashamed. Maybe because it’s so empty, they’ve just let it fall apart, but that’s no excuse. This stay was a major disappointment.

★★★★★Positive: Hotel employee was great! Very personable and kind! Negative: No hot water in shower, barely lukewarm, room was warm, portable a/c didn?t work well. Late night worker and early morning server didn?t speak English. A single can of Dr Pepper at 3 dollars a can is extremely overpriced!

NillI do not recommend staying here, unless you are only looking for a bed and don't care about cleanliness or other amenities. I was "upgraded" to a suite and when I entered the room it was over 82 degrees with the heat on. I immediately turned on the AC and 4 hours later the room had only dropped to 79, it was not until the following morning the room had cooled to below 72 degrees. The walls look like they are dripping with water or filth, either way they are gross. Location is super close to Hobby airport, so close the planes fly directly over this hotel. I also paid for the breakfast to be included in my stay and when I went downstairs for breakfast I was shocked to see coffee and a bowl of oranges/ bananas. This is their interpretation of "breakfast". Absolutely unacceptable, I don't understand how they are able to be a Marriott branded hotel. Marriott really needs to do a better job monitoring their locations, even when they are 'independently' owned. This is a poor representation of the brand.

NillBathroom had dried blood on the wall. The wall was also sprayed with pee all the way to the top of the bathroom mirror. Picture in bathroom had dried pee on it. Was moved to another room. Absolutely ZERO outlets in that room. I even moved the bed out. How did this pass code?! NO BREAKFAST due to renovations, apparently. Market had no food in it, only a few drink offerings. Front desk staff was understanding and friendly though.

NillWell I took the minute to put a review here since Mr. Duran, manager of this hotel, never solved a problem for me with an employee who is my daughter, a 19-year-old teenager. The point is that Mr. Duran did not pay my son for 6 days of work, he paid him 16 hours, which were not those hours, they were pas and he left me on seen msgs and did not want to show the hotel cameras to prove that he did work and also it took 3 months to pay him and when he came to pay him he paid him in the name of another hotel employee because I don't know. and Mrs. Martha from cleaning knew that the boy had worked more than 16 hours, no, because she covered that up. I am doing this with the intention that you be careful with the ones you apply here in this hotel, so that what happened to my son does not happen to you and that Mr. Duran does not abuse his power for being a manager, that is not done, so be careful with this manager, Mr. Duran.

NillVery disappointed. Hotel had no keys, so every-time you need to access your room someone had to lead you like a little child. $75 deposit. Which is crazy in the area most hotels are $20. Agent at the desk like she didn’t care and unconcerned. To add they charge for breakfast.

★Positive: Even though it's by the freeway. You don't hear the cars going by. Negative: This time around the key card machine was not running. So we had to wait to be let in our room. Which is a little of a inconvenience!
