NillBefore I get into the horrible things about this place, let me say firstly that the front desk clerk was the absolute best. He definitely needs to be employed in a 5 star or better hotel. Now to the meat of the story. My sis and I, having traveled quite a distance, arrived shortly before midnight. We checked in, made it to the room eagerly anticipating the feel of a nice warm bed. Upon entering our room, 2 huge cockroaches greeted us and I damn near reinjured my knee trying to make my escape back into the hallway!! We went back to the lobby, explained the situation, and were given another room to try. This time, being that my sister is the younger sibling, I made my her go in first. As soon as she hit the light switch, there were several cockroaches scurrying from a meeting in the middle of the tiled entrance. Needless to say, we canceled the room and are just now checking into the much cleaner, currently being renovated, Double Tree by Hilton down the street.

NillStay away from here . Just changed ownership to Wyndham . Nobody transferred reservations. I re booked a room upon arrival however . I should have paid attention more in lobby but was weary after a long day , For the first time ever I left a hotel for another . Peeling wallpaper on room floors , smell of mildew . Room wasn’t dirty but not cleaned well either upon further glance . After reading others experiences I Left for Hilton garden inn . This place should be closed until it’s remodeled & acceptable . Horrible standards for a national brand . Should not be allowed to be open

NillALERT ALERT ALERT - STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Like many, I stayed at this hotel (twice) because I have early flights, and I still had to return the rental car... so, the location is convenient (I scored the location with 1 star because I don't want some algorithm 'upping' the score because of scoring that portion higher - this is less than one star hotel!). The first time I stayed there, I was given a room overlooking the airport... cool! But, the window was broken, water run running down it from the AC upstairs. and the room smelled like musty mold! When I checked in, the employee told me where the restaurant was, and where the complimentary breakfast is served. The next morning I went down stairs to get breakfast. I went to grab my plate and was stopped in my tracks. "Do you have a voucher?" a lady asked. "Uh no! For what?" I asked. She said I needed a voucher to eat there. This would have been great information to have when I checked in, not as I'm grabbing my plate. I ended NOT eating there at all. Since I travel alone, I accepted that I might face those same conditions if I stayed there again, so I booked another night for a later date. The later date was last night... When I entered the lobby, it was completely overwhelmed with the smell of RAW SEWAGE .... The smell was so bad that, the hotel employee was wearing a mask, and people were walking through the lobby with sweatshirts wrapped about their face so they didn't breath it in, and so not to smell it. The kitchen was "closed for maintenance" but I would venture to guess the real reason is probably because people could not eat there because of the sewage smell. The hallways are old, smelly, and dated. While the staff isn't necessarily rude, at least not to me, they show no sense of possessing even the most basic of customer service skills. While in the room last night, I could still smell the sewage on the 5th floor and, at one point, I started to get a headache. I do tend to write more reviews based on my negative experiences, but I am not a habitual complainer. This experience certainly rises to the level where I need to complain, and ask for my money back. I don't know the available Texas government resources to deal with these types of issues... but I'm about the find out! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE BULLDOZED AND, IF REBUILT, NEW OWNER/OPERATORS NEED TO RUN IT!!!!!!

NillNo luggage carts with 6 floors, floor 4 when the elevator door opened, you welcomed with a very strong, overwhelming mold aroma. Must be fabreezes' new seasonal scent. While walking to the room, you can clearly see extreme water damage to walls and wallpaper peeling. The bathroom door is misleading and has closet doors as a door. The hot tub is as green as a sinus infection snot rag. This hotel is a huge disgrace to the "IHG" HOLIDAY INN NAME. the only thing this place has going for it is the location. The front desk lady was more worried about her phone than helping guests. I will NEVER stay here again

NillDon't not bring your family to this hotel. Black mold in the corners of the bathroom and like everyone else commenting. There was a cockroache in the bathroom. If you want to find it, its in the ceiling tiles. Just wish I wouldve read the google comments before.

NillInsane amount of mold in carpet and curtains. Ice machine was out on the 5th floor, no big deal, go down to 4th floor and no it's not working. So I go to the 6th floor, not working either. While on that journey for ice each floor appeared to have its own theme of disgusting smell.

NillThis place is not as pictured!! Do not be fooled like we were. We left after seeing the room but it took an hour for Uber to get us. A real DUMP! The floors were covered by old stained carpet that smelled like a wet dog. The pool and hot tub were green and not just a tent of green. The room was not clean and the sheets looked dirty. The bar and restaurant is closed down. This hotel should be shut down!!

NillQuite possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Had a 5AM flight out of Hobby and wanted someplace that was close and had a shuttle. Turned out that the shuttle didn't start until 4AM and my flight boarded at 4:30AM ... so I was out of luck there. The staff was nice enough... to put the phone down for a minute to handle my check-in. But the whole thing was weird from that moment on. The place looks run down from the outside. But as soon as you walk in, the recently-renovated lobby is fairly inviting. As soon as I stepped off the (only) elevator (that worked) though ... I knew I was in for a wild ride. The paint in the hallways is sloppy. The carpet is worn. And the whole place smells like wet towels that you left out overnight. Once I got to the first room I was assigned, my keycard didn't work. Upon further inspection, it looked like the door had been pried open at one point because I could slightly see into the room between the door and the frame. So I went back down the (only) elevator (that worked) and told the woman -- who put her phone back down for a moment -- what was going on. She re-coded my card and back up the (only) elevator (that worked) I went. Still no luck. So back down I went and was assigned another room where the keycard worked, but that faced the sunny side of the building and the poor air conditioner just couldn't keep up. All I'm saying is that, if it wasn't a hundred bucks and if I wasn't leaving at 3:30AM ... I wouldn't have stayed. Look elsewhere, friends. This one isn't worth it.
