Residence Inn Houston by The Galleria

I was very sceptical about staying here, and booked it without reading the Google reviews but it was too late to cancel, however i didn’t need to be worried. I wrote in before to ask for a room that would be roach free (not sure if that helped) but I found the staff to be helpful, the rooms to and clean and the bed to be comfortable. I didn’t see any roaches in the room at all, and no bugs for that matter. The room was spotless and the kitchen very well stocked. For the price you pay this is a great option. It didn’t feel unsafe, it didn’t stink of weed, the other guests were perfectly nice. The gym is basic but you’re paying $120 a night what do you expect! The breakfast was a nice bonus, but there weren’t many vegan options (not a problem because it was basic anyway). I would recommend this hotel if you need a place to sleep and base yourself whilst in Houston. Sure, it’s not luxury but you’re staying at a Residence Inn, not the Post Oak!

It's in a strategic location just 5 mins walk to the Galleria. Room was fine for a small family but the window are facing corridors and people can peeps into the room or living area if the curtains are not tightly close. Breakfast is simple. Overall.l, i will recommend with the price.

The room needs to be updated! The tub was very rusty and it had orange rust around it. The bed especially needed to be swapped out, it was extremely squeaky and uncomfortable I can feel the Springs as I was laying on the bed. I don't think the cleaning ladies really clean the room because it definitely looks like any day a deep cleaning. The front desk lady was absolutely amazing and she was very professional and friendly.

It is the worse residence ive ever stayed at, not because it was and older building facing the North direction but because the kitchen was swarming with cick roaches. It was too late to leave, so we checked out immediately the next morning

Positive: "" Negative: I would not call this hotel a 4-star hotel. There are some nice things about it, but it should in the 2 1/2 star range because some of the areas are showing their age. My exterior door was dirty and the enamel paint on the tub was peeling badly.

Service was awesome. Everyone from the front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff were super friendly and helpful. I agree the rooms felt dated but the great service made up for it.

I stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Houston by The Galleria and found roaches in my room. I immediately reported it and was moved to another room, but the damage was done — I felt completely uncomfortable for the rest of my stay.| I reached out to Marriott Customer Care, and they acknowledged my complaint, promised a response within five business days, and then did nothing. It’s been weeks with no update, resolution, or refund.|This is a clear sanitation issue. I’m now concerned I could have brought pests home with me — roaches multiply fast, and this level of neglect is unacceptable.||I’ve since learned that another guest had the same issue, which makes me question how seriously they’re taking this.|I won’t be staying at this property again and expected much more from Marriott.

Ughhhh! I WOULD NEVER!! This hotel was nasty my room had roaches. The hotel service was ok. I didn't receive bad service. The furniture was old in some of the rooms.. .I just know that I would never stay here. It didn't represent the Marriott well.
