Days Inn by Wyndham Lubbock South

Not a very good motel. Booked an accessible room but it was not fully accessible. The full accessible room was already occupied. The manager showed me two ground floor rooms - one the A/C did not work, the other the fridge did not work. I chose the one with A/C. Bed was O/K, room was clean. TV remote did not work. No ice as the ice machine was broken. Breakfast was only biscuits, kids cereal & waffles. I cancelled my future reservation.

If you don’t want to read the long review, just take this advice. Do not stay here. Do not even pull in the parking lot. This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. It takes 10 minutes to get into the room due to key card issues that the front desk does not care about Second they give you one towel and the answer to why you only get one towel is because and I quote people steal them. The TV did not work. We enjoyed watching Family Guy on mute. Don’t let them lie to you and tell you that there is a nice pool and a hot tub because there’s not it’s closed and apparently has been closed for quite some time. However, if you are looking for a hooker, this is the place to come or if you need to buy a bag of meth I’m sure there is some readily available on the property. I would rather stay in a Mexican prison then at this property one more time sidenote if you’re looking for a good place to stay, we stayed at “my place hotels” After we checked out of this dump

I don't know where to start. I would not rate them at all. Don't book here. Just don't. They would not take our rewards discount. As soon as you walk in all you smell is marijuana. No coffeepot no hairdryer no iron. But they have an ironing board. No do not disturb signs. Fridge didn't cool. Microwave would not work right. No line for the phone. No light bulbs for the lamps we had to buy our own. No toilet paper we had to buy our own. No one up front to ask for it. What breakfast they had biscuits harder then a rock and old burned gravy. No trashcans buta lil one for the bathroom . No towels and when we did get someone to get us some they were torn and frayed. Pool wasn't open and no one was working on it at all. Oh Lord!!! Don't book here! Run!!!!

We reserved and paid for a room for one night on 12/22/24 at this property. We called to let them know we would be later than our 7pm estimated arrival time, but that we were on our way. The person answering the phone told me that he would have to charge me for an extra day, I repeated myself, said the room was already paid for and we were on on our way, and he seemed to understand. It was impossible to get to the motel coming into town from Colorado, we had to drive ½ blk behind the building through a rutted dirt path to the road going to the motel. The man at the front desk was rude and dismissive, we were warned not to steal anything from the room and if we smoked (we don’t) there would be a ($750?) charge. I asked about breakfast and he gave us the hours and pointed behind where we were standing. We took the key and went to the room.||||The room was filthy, dark and dingy. There was debris, including used q-tips on the floor, there were holes in the walls and there was something black wiped on the walls in numerous places, the room looked like it hadn’t been painted in years. There was hair hanging from the side of the bed, and all over the bathroom floor. There was something wiped on the shower curtain and the tub was dirty. The mattress was dirty and and badly stained, There were large holes in carpet and it looked as though it hadn’t been swept in some time. There were holes on the seat of a chair in the room, there was no back on the remote, and the tv screen had a crack in it. The smoke detector was covered with a clamp bolted to the ceiling. We did not lay down in bed until after 11pm and were on the road again by 4am as neither of us could sleep in that room. We did not shower because the bathroom was nasty.||||I cannot believe either the Days Inn or Wyndham would want their brands associated with this property, and I am quite frankly angry that neither the description nor the pictures accurately described this property and I never would have chosen a room here if I had known the true condition of the rooms.

I was a bit worried when I read all the reviews but as soon as I walked in I realized that it was going to be a good hotel to stay in. Walked in to nice clean entrance area, welcomed by nice staff at the counter who checked me in no problem. We got to our room and it was perfectly clean and prepared for our stay! Everything worked there was no cigarette smell at all. Nice pool and beautiful scenery! I will be coming to stay here again when I come to Lubbock y’all keep doing a good job!

Positive: "" Negative: They didn?t have towels, shampoo or soap in the rooms. Lightbulbs were missing from the lamps. There were no refrigerators or coffee pots or hairdryers in the bedroom. The pool and the spa are both closed. The breakfast was not edible. Trash in room

The room was big, although smelt like smoke. There were two, almost empty, rolls of toilet paper, not enough for the weekend. There was also only one face, hand and bath towel. The heater made a lot of noise, but once it shut off, it was sort of quiet.

Room was not cleaned throughout. Body hairs all over the floor, skid marks on the toilet, shower head don’t work (you have to take a bath with a leaking drain). Looks like food crumbs on the bed. Bedding stinks like old body order. I ordered a room that was $48 but charged me $94 but at first $120. I would recommend sleeping in your car then sleeping and wasting your time here
