Best Windsor Inn

Nice clean, bug-free hotel. However, the night I stayed there 3 big rig trucks were broken into and tools were stolen. That is in no way the fault of the management or owners of this hotel, but it is something to take into consideration when choosing where you will stay.

Room had a mild musky (wife said "smokey" smell" when we arrived. We had 2 queen beds. The beds screech horribly loud when any movement is made. Getting in or out, or repositioning during the night will wake everyone in the room. The towel rack in the bathroom was falling off the wall. Someone made an attempt at fixing this with some sort of epoxy type substance, but it didn't work. Where the shower head attaches or comes through the wall, the sheetrock was all broken out and there was a hole in the wall. NONE of the receptacles in the room were good enough to hold a plug. We used a desk chair to prop a phone charger and a laptop plug in the receptacle to charge our devices. There were 2 plugs on a lamp between the bed, neither worked. There was a lamp plug on the desk that if you properly balanced a plug, would work. My wife used this one to charge her apple watch, which, she was able to position the watch kind of wedged under the plug, and hold the plug in to achieve a charge. And, finally, the TV signal was poor. TV streaming would freeze and buffer, which wasn't the worst thing about the room, but a certain annoyance. I have to give credit to the staff, the minimal amount of interaction with the staff, was pleasant. The lady at the check-in counter was very nice, and I have absolutely no complaints about anyone we had interaction with. The breakfast is pretty typical for this type of hotel. They have the waffle maker, cereal, pastries, juice, and coffee. This is what was expected and there are no complaints about breakfast. The indoor pool seemed clean. We did not use the pool, only because the night we stayed happened to have a party of some sort in the dining area, and there were a bunch of kids taking advantage of the pool in the 25 degree weather. Absolutely no complaint about this either. They seemed to be having fun, but we were looking for a bit less commotion, which was the only reason we did not use the pool. The parking lot had enough parking, despite the hotel being marked as "full" the night we arrived. We parked in the back of the building, but there is a back door, operable by your room key, that takes you right in the middle of the building at the stairwell, vending machines, and ice machine. Overall, the location of this hotel is excellent. Easy in and access to major roads within a minute or 2. Its very worn. The room we were in required quite a bit of TLC.

My Previous Review.... No Hot Water. The manager did not care to fix the problem. 4 other rooms were without hot water also. Stay somewhere else unless you like taking cold showers in December.|Update to my original review... now this hotel is charging me twice for the same room. original reservation was modified and now they are getting paid for the same room twice. A room that had no hot water.... management doesn't care. Coporate will not help. I believe this owner/manager owns the other BWs in town. Do not give her your business. Bad Business

GROSS...dirty sock in "clean" bed from previous guest?? Arrived late & tired. Check in was fast. Pulled covers to get into bed and dirty sock was under cover. Quickly went to lobby & hotel staff on duty walked to room to see it. given another room. But, why was there a dirty sock under covers? Either covers on bed were dirty & not switched out between guests, hence dirty sock? Or was sock washed along with covers & that's how it ended up in what should be a clean bed? It was gross & should not have happened.

I called to make sure the pool was indoor and heated. They told me it was. We came to the hotel just to swim. The pool is so cold you can't swim. I had 2 rooms and 100 each!! I called Best Western and we are rewards members and they said they couldn't do anything!!

Outdated hotel. No shampoo. Guy at night wouldn't get me a toothbrush, told me to ask morning shift at 8(I leave at 630). Bad experience. Won't be staying again. Also there's no fridge or coffee pot. Which to me are basics for a motel that has mostly workers.

Feb 2025 - check in was okay but the person had such a heavy accent I had to ask numerous times to repeat. The bed was awful. It was a king and it sagged in the middle. Furniture was dirty. Shower head was so high I could not reach it even with standing on edge of tub. It was pointed at the wall. Never stay here again and I am Best Western Rewards member.

There was a dirty sock under the covers, in the bed that supposedly had clean sheets. A sock belonging to previous room guest. I tjoughts sheets and covers are suppose to be removed, washed, and changed out between guests.
